عَمَّ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
English Translation:
What are they asking (one another)?
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ لوگ کس چیز کے بارے میں پوچھ گچھ کر رہے ہیں.
عَنِ النَّبَإِ الْعَظِيمِ
English Translation:
About the great news, (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, the Quran, which Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) brought and the Day of Resurrection, etc.),
اردو ترجمہ:
اس بڑی خبر کے متعلق.
الَّذِي هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ
English Translation:
About which they are in disagreement.
اردو ترجمہ:
جس کے بارے میں یہ اختلاف کر رہے ہیں.
كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ
English Translation:
Nay, they will come to know!
اردو ترجمہ:
یقیناً یہ عنقریب جان لیں گے.(1)
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ
English Translation:
Nay, again, they will come to know!
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر بالیقین انہیں بہت جلد معلوم ہو جائے گا.
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا
English Translation:
Have We not made the earth as a bed,
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا ہم نے زمین کو فرش نہیں بنایا؟
وَالْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا
English Translation:
And the mountains as pegs?
اردو ترجمہ:
اور پہاڑوں کو میخیں (نہیں بنایا؟)
وَخَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا
English Translation:
And We have created you in pairs (male and female, tall and short, good and bad, etc.).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ہم نے تمہیں جوڑا جوڑا پیدا کیا.
وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا
English Translation:
And have made your sleep as a thing for rest.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ہم نے تمہاری نیند کو آرام کا سبب بنایا.
وَجَعَلْنَا اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا
English Translation:
And have made the night as a covering (through its darkness),
اردو ترجمہ:
اور رات کو ہم نے پرده بنایا.
وَجَعَلْنَا النَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا
English Translation:
And have made the day for livelihood.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور دن کو ہم نے وقت روزگار بنایا.
وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا
English Translation:
And We have built above you seven strong (heavens),
اردو ترجمہ:
اور تمہارے اوپر ہم نے سات مضبوط آسمان بنائے.
وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا
English Translation:
And have made (therein) a shinning lamp (sun).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ایک روشن چراغ (سورج) بنایا.
وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُعْصِرَاتِ مَاءً ثَجَّاجًا
English Translation:
And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور بدلیوں سے ہم نے بکثرت بہتا ہوا پانی برسایا.
لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا
English Translation:
That We may produce therewith corn and vegetations,
اردو ترجمہ:
تاکہ اس سے اناج اور سبزه اگائیں.
وَجَنَّاتٍ أَلْفَافًا
English Translation:
And gardens of thick growth.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور گھنے باغ (بھی اگائیں).
إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَاتًا
English Translation:
Verily, the Day of Decision is a fixed time,
اردو ترجمہ:
بیشک فیصلہ کے دن کا وقت مقرر ہے.
يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًا
English Translation:
The Day when the Trumpet will be blown, and you shall come forth in crowds (groups);
اردو ترجمہ:
جس دن کہ صور میں پھونکا جائے گا۔ پھر تم فوج در فوج چلے آؤ گے.
وَفُتِحَتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَابًا
English Translation:
And the heaven shall be opened, and it will become as gates,
اردو ترجمہ:
اور آسمان کھول دیا جائے گا تو اس میں دروازے ہی دروازے ہو جائیں گے.
وَسُيِّرَتِ الْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا
English Translation:
And the mountains shall be moved away from their places and they will be as if they were a mirage.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور پہاڑ چلائے جائیں گے پس وه سراب ہو جائیں گے.
إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا
English Translation:
Truly, Hell is a place of ambush,
اردو ترجمہ:
بیشک دوزخ گھات میں ہے.
لِّلطَّاغِينَ مَآبًا
English Translation:
A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.),
اردو ترجمہ:
سرکشوں کا ٹھکانہ وہی ہے.
لَّابِثِينَ فِيهَا أَحْقَابًا
English Translation:
They will abide therein for ages,
اردو ترجمہ:
اس میں وه مدتوں تک پڑے رہیں گے.
لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا
English Translation:
Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink.
اردو ترجمہ:
نہ کبھی اس میں خنکی کا مزه چکھیں گے، نہ پانی کا.
إِلَّا حَمِيمًا وَغَسَّاقًا
English Translation:
Except boiling water, and dirty wound discharges.
اردو ترجمہ:
سوائے گرم پانی اور (بہتی) پیپ کے.
جَزَاءً وِفَاقًا
English Translation:
An exact recompense (according to their evil crimes).
اردو ترجمہ:
(ان کو) پورا پورا بدلہ ملے گا.
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًا
English Translation:
For verily, they used not to look for a reckoning.
اردو ترجمہ:
انہیں تو حساب کی توقع ہی نہ تھی.
وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كِذَّابًا
English Translation:
But they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, and that which Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) brought) completely.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور بے باکی سے ہماری آیتوں کی تکذیب کرتے تھے.
وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ كِتَابًا
English Translation:
And all things We have recorded in a Book.
اردو ترجمہ:
ہم نے ہر ایک چیز کو لکھ کر شمار کر رکھا ہے.
فَذُوقُوا فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا
English Translation:
So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment.
اردو ترجمہ:
اب تم (اپنے کیے کا) مزه چکھو ہم تمہارا عذاب ہی بڑھاتے رہیں گے.
إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا
English Translation:
Verily, for the Muttaqun, there will be a success (Paradise);
اردو ترجمہ:
یقیناً پرہیزگار لوگوں کے لئے کامیابی ہے.
حَدَائِقَ وَأَعْنَابًا
English Translation:
Gardens and grapeyards;
اردو ترجمہ:
باغات ہیں اور انگور ہیں.
وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا
English Translation:
And young full-breasted (mature) maidens of equal age;
اردو ترجمہ:
اور نوجوان کنواری ہم عمر عورتیں ہیں.
وَكَأْسًا دِهَاقًا
English Translation:
And a full cup (of wine).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور چھلکتے ہوئے جام ہیں.
لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا كِذَّابًا
English Translation:
No Laghw (dirty, false, evil talk) shall they hear therein, nor lying;
اردو ترجمہ:
وہاں نہ تو وه بیہوده باتیں سنیں گے اور نہ جھوٹی باتیں سنیں گے.
جَزَاءً مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَاءً حِسَابًا
English Translation:
A reward from your Lord, an ample calculated gift (according to the best of their good deeds).
اردو ترجمہ:
(ان کو) تیرے رب کی طرف سے (ان کے نیک اعمال کا)یہ بدلہ ملے گا جو کافی انعام ہوگا.
رَّبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا الرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۖ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا
English Translation:
(From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and whatsoever is in between them, the Most Beneficent, none can dare to speak with Him (on the Day of Resurrection except after His Leave).
اردو ترجمہ:
(اس رب کی طرف سے ملے گا جو کہ) آسمانوں کا اور زمین کا اور جو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے ان کا پروردگار ہے اور بڑی بخشش کرنے والا ہے۔ کسی کو اس سے بات چیت کرنے کا اختیار نہیں ہوگا.
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الرُّوحُ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ صَفًّا ۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا
English Translation:
The Day that Ar-Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel) or another angel] and the angels will stand forth in rows, none shall speak except him whom the Most Beneficent (Allah) allows, and he will speak what is right.
اردو ترجمہ:
جس دن روح اور فرشتے صفیں باندھ کر کھڑے ہوں گے تو کوئی کلام نہ کر سکے گا مگر جسے رحمٰن اجازت دے دے اور وه ٹھیک بات زبان سے نکالے.
ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَن شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ مَآبًا
English Translation:
That is without doubt the True Day, so, whosoever wills, let him seek a place with (or a way to) His Lord (by obeying Him in this worldly life)!
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ دن حق ہے اب جو چاہے اپنے رب کے پاس (نیک اعمال کر کے) ٹھکانا بنالے.
إِنَّا أَنذَرْنَاكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيبًا يَوْمَ يَنظُرُ الْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ الْكَافِرُ يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنتُ تُرَابًا
English Translation:
Verily, We have warned you of a near torment, the Day when man will see that (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say: "Woe to me! Would that I were dust!"
اردو ترجمہ:
ہم نے تمہیں عنقریب آنے والے عذاب سے ڈرا دیا (اور چوکنا کر دیا) ہے ۔ جس دن انسان اپنے ہاتھوں کی کمائی کو دیکھ لے گا اور کافر کہے گا کہ کاش! میں مٹی ہو جاتا.
