Al-Mutaffifin - المطففين (Surah 83)
36 Verses • Meccan Revelation
وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ
English Translation:
Woe to Al-Mutaffifin [those who give less in measure and weight (decrease the rights of others)],
اردو ترجمہ:
بڑی خرابی ہے ناپ تول میں کمی کرنے والوں کی.
الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ
English Translation:
Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, demand full measure,
اردو ترجمہ:
کہ جب لوگوں سے ناپ کر لیتے ہیں تو پورا پورا لیتے ہیں.
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ
English Translation:
And when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور جب انہیں ناپ کر یا تول کر دیتے ہیں تو کم دیتے ہیں.
أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُولَـٰئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ
English Translation:
Think they not that they will be resurrected (for reckoning),
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا انہیں اپنے مرنے کے بعد جی اٹھنے کا خیال نہیں.
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
English Translation:
On a Great Day,
اردو ترجمہ:
اس عظیم دن کے لئے.
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
English Translation:
The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?
اردو ترجمہ:
جس دن سب لوگ رب العالمین کے سامنے کھڑے ہوں گے.
كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٍ
English Translation:
Nay! Truly, the Record (writing of the deeds) of the Fujjar (disbelievers, sinners, evil-doers and wicked) is (preserved) in Sijjin.
اردو ترجمہ:
یقیناً بدکاروں کا نامہٴ اعمال سِجِّينٌ میں ہے.
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ
English Translation:
And what will make you know what Sijjin is?
اردو ترجمہ:
تجھے کیا معلوم سِجِّينٌ کیا ہے؟
كِتَابٌ مَّرْقُومٌ
English Translation:
A Register inscribed.
اردو ترجمہ:
(یہ تو) لکھی ہوئی کتاب ہے.
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
English Translation:
Woe, that Day, to those who deny [(Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, the Day of Resurrection, and Al-Qadar (Divine Preordainments)].
اردو ترجمہ:
اس دن جھٹلانے والوں کی بڑی خرابی ہے.
الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ
English Translation:
Those who deny the Day of Recompense.
اردو ترجمہ:
جو جزا وسزا کے دن کو جھٹلاتے رہے.
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ
English Translation:
And none can deny it except every transgressor beyond bounds, (in disbelief, oppression and disobedience of Allah, the sinner!)
اردو ترجمہ:
اسے صرف وہی جھٹلاتا ہےجو حد سے آگے نکل جانے والا (اور) گناه گار ہوتا ہے.
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
English Translation:
When Our Verses (of the Quran) are recited to him he says: "Tales of the ancients!"
اردو ترجمہ:
جب اس کے سامنے ہماری آیتیں پڑھی جاتی ہیں تو کہہ دیتا ہے کہ یہ اگلوں کے افسانے ہیں.
كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
English Translation:
Nay! But on their hearts is the Ran (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn.
اردو ترجمہ:
یوں نہیں بلکہ ان کے دلوں پر ان کےاعمال کی وجہ سے زنگ (چڑھ گیا) ہے.
كَلَّا إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ
English Translation:
Nay! Surely, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day.
اردو ترجمہ:
ہرگز نہیں یہ لوگ اس دن اپنے رب سےاوٹ میں رکھے جائیں گے.
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُو الْجَحِيمِ
English Translation:
Then, verily they will indeed enter and taste the burning flame of Hell.
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر یہ لوگ بالیقین جہنم میں جھونکے جائیں گے.
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَـٰذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
English Translation:
Then, it will be said to them: "This is what you used to deny!"
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر کہہ دیا جائے گا کہ یہی ہے وه جسے تم جھٹلاتے رہے.
كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْأَبْرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ
English Translation:
Nay! Verily, the Record (writing of the deeds) of Al-Abrar (the pious who fear Allah and avoid evil), is (preserved) in 'Illiyyun.
اردو ترجمہ:
لرگزنہیں،بےشک نیکوکاروں کے اعمال نامے علییں میں ہیں .
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ
English Translation:
And what will make you know what 'Illiyyun is?
اردو ترجمہ:
اورتجھے کیا پتہ کہ عِلِّیین کیا ہے؟
كِتَابٌ مَّرْقُومٌ
English Translation:
A Register inscribed.
اردو ترجمہ:
(وه تو) لکھی ہوئی کتاب ہے.
يَشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
English Translation:
To which bear witness those nearest (to Allah, i.e. the angels).
اردو ترجمہ:
مقرب (فرشتے) اس کا مشاہده کرتے ہیں.
إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ
English Translation:
Verily, Al-Abrar (the pious who fear Allah and avoid evil) will be in delight (Paradise).
اردو ترجمہ:
یقیناً نیک لوگ (بڑی) نعمتوں میں ہوں گے.
عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ يَنظُرُونَ
English Translation:
On thrones, looking (at all things).
اردو ترجمہ:
مسہریوں پر بیٹھے دیکھ رہے ہوں گے.
تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيمِ
English Translation:
You will recognise in their faces the brightness of delight.
اردو ترجمہ:
تو ان کے چہروں سے ہی نعمتوں کی تروتازگی پہچان لے گا.
يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍ مَّخْتُومٍ
English Translation:
They will be given to drink pure sealed wine.
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ لوگ سربمہر خالص شراب پلائے جائیں گے.
خِتَامُهُ مِسْكٌ ۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ
English Translation:
The last thereof (that wine) will be the smell of musk, and for this let (all) those strive who want to strive (i.e. hasten earnestly to the obedience of Allah).
اردو ترجمہ:
جس پر مشک کی مہر ہوگی، سبقت لے جانے والوں کو اسی میں سبقت کرنی چاہئے.
وَمِزَاجُهُ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ
English Translation:
It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnim.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور اس کی آمیزش تسنیم کی ہوگی.
عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
English Translation:
A spring whereof drink those nearest to Allah.
اردو ترجمہ:
(یعنی) وه چشمہ جس کا پانی مقرب لوگ پیئں گے.
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ
English Translation:
Verily! (During the worldly life) those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.
اردو ترجمہ:
گنہگار لوگ ایمان والوں کی ہنسی اڑایا کرتے تھے.
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ
English Translation:
And whenever they passed by them, used to wink one to another (in mockery);
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ان کے پاس سے گزرتے ہوئے آپس میں آنکھ کےاشارے کرتے تھے.
وَإِذَا انقَلَبُوا إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِمُ انقَلَبُوا فَكِهِينَ
English Translation:
And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting;
اردو ترجمہ:
اور جب اپنے والوں کی طرف لوٹتے تو دل لگیاں کرتے تھے.
وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ لَضَالُّونَ
English Translation:
And when they saw them, they said: "Verily! These have indeed gone astray!"
اردو ترجمہ:
اور جب انہیں دیکھتے تو کہتے یقیناً یہ لوگ گمراه (بے راه) ہیں.
وَمَا أُرْسِلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ حَافِظِينَ
English Translation:
But they (disbelievers, sinners) had not been sent as watchers over them (the believers).
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ ان پر پاسبان بنا کر تو نہیں بھیجے گئے.
فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ
English Translation:
But this Day (the Day of Resurrection) those who believe will laugh at the disbelievers
اردو ترجمہ:
پس آج ایمان والے ان کافروں پر ہنسیں گے.
عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ يَنظُرُونَ
English Translation:
On (high) thrones, looking (at all things).
اردو ترجمہ:
تختوں پر بیٹھے دیکھ رہے ہوں گے.
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ
English Translation:
Are not the disbelievers paid (fully) for what they used to do?
اردو ترجمہ:
کہ اب ان منکروں نے جیسا یہ کرتے تھے پورا پورا بدلہ پالیا.
