At-Tawba - التوبة (Surah 9)

بَرَاءَةٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ إِلَى الَّذِينَ عَاهَدتُّم مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
English Translation:
Freedom from (all) obligations (is declared) from Allah and His Messenger (SAW) to those of the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah), with whom you made a treaty.
اردو ترجمہ:
اللہ اوراس کے رسول کی جانب سے بیزاری کا اعلان ہے ۔ ان مشرکوں کے بارے میں جن سے تم نے عہد وپیمان کیا تھا۔
فَسِيحُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللَّهِ ۙ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْزِي الْكَافِرِينَ
English Translation:
So travel freely (O Mushrikun - see V. 2:105) for four months (as you will) throughout the land, but know that you cannot escape (from the Punishment of) Allah, and Allah will disgrace the disbelievers.
اردو ترجمہ:
پس (اے مشرکو!) تم ملک میں چار مہینے تک تو چل پھر لو ، جان لو کہ تم اللہ کو عاجز کرنے والے نہیں ہو، اور یہ (بھی یاد رہے) کہ اللہ کافروں کو رسوا کرنے والا ہے۔
وَأَذَانٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ إِلَى النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْحَجِّ الْأَكْبَرِ أَنَّ اللَّهَ بَرِيءٌ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ۙ وَرَسُولُهُ ۚ فَإِن تُبْتُمْ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ ۖ وَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللَّهِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
English Translation:
And a declaration from Allah and His Messenger to mankind on the greatest day (the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah - the 12th month of Islamic calendar) that Allah is free from (all) obligations to the Mushrikun (see V. 2:105) and so is His Messenger. So if you (Mushrikun) repent, it is better for you, but if you turn away, then know that you cannot escape (from the Punishment of) Allah. And give tidings (O Muhammad SAW) of a painful torment to those who disbelieve.
اردو ترجمہ:
اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی طرف سے لوگوں کو بڑے حج کے دن صاف اطلاع ہے کہ اللہ مشرکوں سے بیزار ہے، اور اس کا رسول بھی، اگر اب بھی تم توبہ کر لو تو تمہارے حق میں بہتر ہے، اور اگر تم روگردانی کرو تو جان لو کہ تم اللہ کو ہرا نہیں سکتے۔ اور کافروں کو دکھ اور مار کی خبر پہنچا دیجئے۔
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ عَاهَدتُّم مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنقُصُوكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَمْ يُظَاهِرُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدًا فَأَتِمُّوا إِلَيْهِمْ عَهْدَهُمْ إِلَىٰ مُدَّتِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ
English Translation:
Except those of the Mushrikun with whom you have a treaty, and who have not subsequently failed you in aught, nor have supported anyone against you. So fulfill their treaty to them to the end of their term. Surely Allah loves Al- Mattaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2).
اردو ترجمہ:
بجز ان مشرکوں کے جن سے تمہارا معاہده ہو چکا ہے اور انہوں نے تمہیں ذرا سا بھی نقصان نہیں پہنچایا نہ کسی کی تمہارے خلاف مدد کی ہے تو تم بھی ان کے معاہدے کی مدت ان کے ساتھ پوری کرو ، اللہ تعالیٰ پرہیزگاروں کو دوست رکھتا ہے۔
فَإِذَا انسَلَخَ الْأَشْهُرُ الْحُرُمُ فَاقْتُلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ وَخُذُوهُمْ وَاحْصُرُوهُمْ وَاقْعُدُوا لَهُمْ كُلَّ مَرْصَدٍ ۚ فَإِن تَابُوا وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ فَخَلُّوا سَبِيلَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
English Translation:
Then when the Sacred Months (the Ist, 7th, 11th, and 12th months of the Islamic calendar) have passed, then kill the Mushrikun (see V. 2:105) wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and prepare for them each and every ambush. But if they repent and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat, then leave their way free. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر حرمت والے مہینوں کے گزرتے ہی مشرکوں کو جہاں پاؤ قتل کرو انہیں گرفتار کرو، ان کا محاصره کرلو اور ان کی تاک میں ہر گھاٹی میں جا بیٹھو، ہاں اگر وه توبہ کرلیں اور نماز کے پابند ہو جائیں اور زکوٰة ادا کرنے لگیں توتم ان کی راہیں چھوڑ دو۔ یقیناً اللہ تعالیٰ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے۔
وَإِنْ أَحَدٌ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ اسْتَجَارَكَ فَأَجِرْهُ حَتَّىٰ يَسْمَعَ كَلَامَ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ أَبْلِغْهُ مَأْمَنَهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْلَمُونَ
English Translation:
And if anyone of the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) seeks your protection then grant him protection, so that he may hear the Word of Allah (the Quran), and then escort him to where he can be secure, that is because they are men who know not.
اردو ترجمہ:
اگر مشرکوں میں سے کوئی تجھ سے پناه طلب کرے تو تو اسے پناه دے دے یہاں تک کہ وه کلام اللہ سن لے پھر اسے اپنی جائے امن تک پہنچا دے ۔ یہ اس لئے کہ یہ لوگ بے علم ہیں۔
كَيْفَ يَكُونُ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ عَهْدٌ عِندَ اللَّهِ وَعِندَ رَسُولِهِ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ عَاهَدتُّمْ عِندَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ ۖ فَمَا اسْتَقَامُوا لَكُمْ فَاسْتَقِيمُوا لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ
English Translation:
How can there be a covenant with Allah and with His Messenger for the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) except those with whom you made a covenant near Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah)? So long, as they are true to you, stand you true to them. Verily, Allah loves Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2).
اردو ترجمہ:
مشرکوں کے لئے عہد اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے نزدیک کیسے ره سکتا ہے سوائے ان کے جن سے تم نے عہد وپیمان مسجد حرام کے پاس کیا ہے ، جب تک وه لوگ تم سے معاہده نبھائیں تم بھی ان سے وفاداری کرو، اللہ تعالیٰ متقیوں سے محبت رکھتا ہے۔
كَيْفَ وَإِن يَظْهَرُوا عَلَيْكُمْ لَا يَرْقُبُوا فِيكُمْ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً ۚ يُرْضُونَكُم بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَتَأْبَىٰ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ
English Translation:
How (can there be such a covenant with them) that when you are overpowered by them, they regard not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant with you? With (good words from) their mouths they please you, but their hearts are averse to you, and most of them are Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).
اردو ترجمہ:
ان کے وعدوں کا کیا اعتبار ان کا اگر تم پر غلبہ ہو جائے تو نہ یہ قرابت داری کا خیال کریں نہ عہدوپیمان کا ، اپنی زبانوں سے تو تمہیں پرچا رہے ہیں لیکن ان کے دل نہیں مانتے ان میں سے اکثر تو فاسق ہیں۔
اشْتَرَوْا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا فَصَدُّوا عَن سَبِيلِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ سَاءَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
English Translation:
They have purchased with the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah a little gain, and they hindered men from His Way; evil indeed is that which they used to do.
اردو ترجمہ:
انہوں نے اللہ کی آیتوں کو بہت کم قیمت پر بیچ دیا اور اس کی راه سے روکا۔ بہت برا ہے جو یہ کر رہے ہیں۔
لَا يَرْقُبُونَ فِي مُؤْمِنٍ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً ۚ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُعْتَدُونَ
English Translation:
With regard to a believer, they respect not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant! It is they who are the transgressors.
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ تو کسی مسلمان کے حق میں کسی رشتہداری کا یا عہد کا مطلق لحاظ نہیں کرتے، یہ ہیں ہی حد سے گزرنے والے۔
فَإِن تَابُوا وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ فَإِخْوَانُكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ ۗ وَنُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
English Translation:
But if they repent, perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat, then they are your brethren in religion. (In this way) We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail for a people who know.
اردو ترجمہ:
اب بھی اگر یہ توبہ کر لیں اور نماز کے پابند ہو جائیں اور زکوٰة دیتے رہیں تو تمہارے دینی بھائی ہیں ۔ ہم تو جاننے والوں کے لئے اپنی آیتیں کھول کھول کر بیان کر رہے ہیں۔
وَإِن نَّكَثُوا أَيْمَانَهُم مِّن بَعْدِ عَهْدِهِمْ وَطَعَنُوا فِي دِينِكُمْ فَقَاتِلُوا أَئِمَّةَ الْكُفْرِ ۙ إِنَّهُمْ لَا أَيْمَانَ لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَنتَهُونَ
English Translation:
But if they violate their oaths after their covenant, and attack your religion with disapproval and criticism then fight (you) the leaders of disbelief (chiefs of Quraish - pagans of Makkah) - for surely their oaths are nothing to them - so that they may stop (evil actions).
اردو ترجمہ:
اگر یہ لوگ عہدوپیمان کے بعد بھی اپنی قسموں کو توڑ دیں اور تمہارے دین میں طعنہ زنی کریں تو تم بھی ان سرداران کفر سے بھڑ جاؤ۔ ان کی قسمیں کوئی چیز نہیں، ممکن ہے کہ اس طرح وه بھی باز آجائیں۔
أَلَا تُقَاتِلُونَ قَوْمًا نَّكَثُوا أَيْمَانَهُمْ وَهَمُّوا بِإِخْرَاجِ الرَّسُولِ وَهُم بَدَءُوكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۚ أَتَخْشَوْنَهُمْ ۚ فَاللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَن تَخْشَوْهُ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
English Translation:
Will you not fight a people who have violated their oaths (pagans of Makkah) and intended to expel the Messenger, while they did attack you first? Do you fear them? Allah has more right that you should fear Him, if you are believers.
اردو ترجمہ:
تم ان لوگوں کی سرکوبی کے لئے کیوں تیار نہیں ہوتے جنہوں نے اپنی قسموں کو توڑ دیا اور پیغمبر کو جلا وطن کرنے کی فکر میں ہیں اور خود ہی اول بار انہوں نے تم سے چھیڑ کی ہے، کیا تم ان سے ڈرتے ہو؟ اللہ ہی زیاده مستحق ہے کہ تم اس کا ڈر رکھو بشرطیکہ تم ایمان والے ہو۔
قَاتِلُوهُمْ يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللَّهُ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ وَيُخْزِهِمْ وَيَنصُرْكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَيَشْفِ صُدُورَ قَوْمٍ مُّؤْمِنِينَ
English Translation:
Fight against them so that Allah will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the breasts of a believing people,
اردو ترجمہ:
ان سے تم جنگ کرو اللہ تعالیٰ انہیں تمہارے ہاتھوں عذاب دے گا، انہیں ذلیل ورسوا کرے گا، تمہیں ان پر مدد دے گا اور مسلمانوں کے کلیجے ٹھنڈے کرے گا۔
وَيُذْهِبْ غَيْظَ قُلُوبِهِمْ ۗ وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَاءُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
English Translation:
And remove the anger of their (believers') hearts. Allah accepts the repentance of whom He wills. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ان کے دل کا غم وغصہ دور کرے گا ، اور وه جس کی طرف چاہتا ہے رحمت سے توجہ فرماتا ہے۔ اللہ جانتا بوجھتا حکمت والا ہے۔
أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تُتْرَكُوا وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا مِنكُمْ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلَا رَسُولِهِ وَلَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلِيجَةً ۚ وَاللَّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
English Translation:
Do you think that you shall be left alone while Allah has not yet tested those among you who have striven hard and fought and have not taken Walijah [(Batanah - helpers, advisors and consultants from disbelievers, pagans, etc.) giving openly to them their secrets] besides Allah and His Messenger, and the believers. Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا تم یہ سمجھے بیٹھے ہو کہ تم چھوڑ دیئے جاؤ گے حالانکہ اب تک اللہ نے تم میں سے انہیں ممتاز نہیں کیا جو مجاہد ہیں اور جنہوں نے اللہ کے اور اس کے رسول کے اور مومنوں کے سوا کسی کو دلی دوست نہیں بنایا۔ اللہ خوب خبردار ہے جو تم کر رہے ہو۔
مَا كَانَ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ أَن يَعْمُرُوا مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ شَاهِدِينَ عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِم بِالْكُفْرِ ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ وَفِي النَّارِ هُمْ خَالِدُونَ
English Translation:
It is not for the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah), to maintain the Mosques of Allah (i.e. to pray and worship Allah therein, to look after their cleanliness and their building, etc.), while they witness against their ownselves of disbelief. The works of such are in vain and in Fire shall they abide.
اردو ترجمہ:
لائق نہیں کہ مشرک اللہ تعالیٰ کی مسجدوں کو آباد کریں۔ درآں حالیکہ وه خود اپنے کفر کے آپ ہی گواه ہیں ، ان کے اعمال غارت واکارت ہیں، اور وه دائمی طور پر جہنمی ہیں۔
إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ ۖ فَعَسَىٰ أُولَـٰئِكَ أَن يَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ
English Translation:
The Mosques of Allah shall be maintained only by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day; perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat and fear none but Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance.
اردو ترجمہ:
اللہ کی مسجدوں کی رونق وآبادی تو ان کے حصے میں ہے جو اللہ پر اور قیامت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتے ہوں، نمازوں کے پابند ہوں، زکوٰة دیتے ہوں، اللہ کے سوا کسی سے نہ ڈرتے ہوں، توقع ہے کہ یہی لوگ یقیناً ہدایت یافتہ ہیں۔
۞ أَجَعَلْتُمْ سِقَايَةَ الْحَاجِّ وَعِمَارَةَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ كَمَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَجَاهَدَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ لَا يَسْتَوُونَ عِندَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
English Translation:
Do you consider the providing of drinking water to the pilgrims and the maintenance of Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah) as equal to the worth of those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah? They are not equal before Allah. And Allah guides not those people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers).
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا تم نے حاجیوں کو پانی پلا دینا اور مسجد حرام کی خدمت کرنا اس کے برابر کر دیا ہے جو اللہ پر اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان لائے اور اللہ کی راه میں جہاد کیا، یہ اللہ کے نزدیک برابر کے نہیں اور اللہ تعالیٰ ظالموں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا۔
الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ أَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةً عِندَ اللَّهِ ۚ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ
English Translation:
Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) and emigrated and strove hard and fought in Allah's Cause with their wealth and their lives are far higher in degree with Allah. They are the successful.
اردو ترجمہ:
جو لوگ ایمان لائے، ہجرت کی، اللہ کی راه میں اپنے مال اور اپنی جان سے جہاد کیا وه اللہ کے ہاں بہت بڑے مرتبہ والے ہیں، اور یہی لوگ مراد پانے والے ہیں۔
يُبَشِّرُهُمْ رَبُّهُم بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنْهُ وَرِضْوَانٍ وَجَنَّاتٍ لَّهُمْ فِيهَا نَعِيمٌ مُّقِيمٌ
English Translation:
Their Lord gives them glad tidings of a Mercy from Him, and that He is pleased (with them), and of Gardens (Paradise) for them wherein are everlasting delights.
اردو ترجمہ:
انہیں ان کا رب خوشخبری دیتا ہے اپنی رحمت کی اور رضامندی کی اور جنتوں کی، ان کے لئے وہاں دوامی نعمت ہے۔
خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِندَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ
English Translation:
They will dwell therein forever. Verily, with Allah is a great reward.
اردو ترجمہ:
وہاں یہ ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں اللہ کے پاس یقیناً بہت بڑے ﺛواب ہیں۔
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا آبَاءَكُمْ وَإِخْوَانَكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ إِنِ اسْتَحَبُّوا الْكُفْرَ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمْ فَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ
English Translation:
O you who believe! Take not for Auliya' (supporters and helpers) your fathers and your brothers if they prefer disbelief to Belief. And whoever of you does so, then he is one of the Zalimun (wrong-doers, etc.).
اردو ترجمہ:
اے ایمان والو! اپنے باپوں کو اور اپنے بھائیوں کو دوست نہ بناؤ اگر وه کفر کو ایمان سے زیاده عزیز رکھیں۔ تم میں سے جو بھی ان سے محبت رکھے گا وه پورا گنہگار ظالم ہے۔
قُلْ إِن كَانَ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَاؤُكُمْ وَإِخْوَانُكُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ وَأَمْوَالٌ اقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَا وَتِجَارَةٌ تَخْشَوْنَ كَسَادَهَا وَمَسَاكِنُ تَرْضَوْنَهَا أَحَبَّ إِلَيْكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَجِهَادٍ فِي سَبِيلِهِ فَتَرَبَّصُوا حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَ اللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ
English Translation:
Say: If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your kindred, the wealth that you have gained, the commerce in which you fear a decline, and the dwellings in which you delight are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger, and striving hard and fighting in His Cause, then wait until Allah brings about His Decision (torment). And Allah guides not the people who are Al-Fasiqun (the rebellious, disobedient to Allah).
اردو ترجمہ:
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ اگر تمہارے باپ اور تمہارے لڑکےاور تمہارے بھائی اور تمہاری بیویاں اور تمہارے کنبے قبیلے اور تمہارے کمائے ہوئے مال اور وه تجارت جس کی کمی سے تم ڈرتے ہو اور وه حویلیاں جنہیں تم پسند کرتے ہو اگر یہ تمہیں اللہ سے اور اس کے رسول سے اور اس کی راه میں جہاد سے بھی زیاده عزیز ہیں، تو تم انتظار کرو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ اپنا عذاب لے آئے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ فاسقوں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا۔
لَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ فِي مَوَاطِنَ كَثِيرَةٍ ۙ وَيَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ ۙ إِذْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ كَثْرَتُكُمْ فَلَمْ تُغْنِ عَنكُمْ شَيْئًا وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ ثُمَّ وَلَّيْتُم مُّدْبِرِينَ
English Translation:
Truly Allah has given you victory on many battle fields, and on the Day of Hunain (battle) when you rejoiced at your great number but it availed you naught and the earth, vast as it is, was straitened for you, then you turned back in flight.
اردو ترجمہ:
یقیناً اللہ تعالیٰ نے بہت سے میدانوں میں تمہیں فتح دی ہے اور حنین کی لڑائی والے دن بھی جب کہ تمہیں اپنی کثرت پر ناز ہوگیا تھا، لیکن اس نے تمہیں کوئی فائده نہ دیا بلکہ زمین باوجود اپنی کشادگی کے تم پر تنگ ہوگئی پھر تم پیٹھ پھیر کر مڑ گئے۔
ثُمَّ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ وَعَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَنزَلَ جُنُودًا لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَعَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَ
English Translation:
Then Allah did send down His Sakinah (calmness, tranquillity and reassurance, etc.) on the Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and on the believers, and sent down forces (angels) which you saw not, and punished the disbelievers. Such is the recompense of disbelievers.
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر اللہ نے اپنی طرف کی تسکین اپنے نبی پر اور مومنوں پر اتاری اور اپنے وه لشکر بھیجے جنہیں تم دیکھ نہیں رہے تھے اور کافروں کو پوری سزا دی۔ ان کفار کا یہی بدلہ تھا۔
ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ اللَّهُ مِن بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَاءُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
English Translation:
Then after that Allah will accept the repentance of whom He will. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر اس کے بعد بھی جس پر چاہے اللہ تعالیٰ اپنی رحمت کی توجہ فرمائے گا اللہ ہی بخشش ومہربانی کرنے والا ہے۔
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْمُشْرِكُونَ نَجَسٌ فَلَا يَقْرَبُوا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هَـٰذَا ۚ وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ عَيْلَةً فَسَوْفَ يُغْنِيكُمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ إِن شَاءَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
English Translation:
O you who believe (in Allah's Oneness and in His Messenger (Muhammad SAW)! Verily, the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, and in the Message of Muhammad SAW) are Najasun (impure). So let them not come near Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah) after this year, and if you fear poverty, Allah will enrich you if He will, out of His Bounty. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
اردو ترجمہ:
اے ایمان والو! بے شک مشرک بالکل ہی ناپاک ہیں وه اس سال کے بعد مسجد حرام کے پاس بھی نہ پھٹکنے پائیں اگر تمہیں مفلسی کا خوف ہے تو اللہ تمہیں دولت مند کر دے گا اپنے فضل سے اگر چاہے اللہ علم وحکمت والا ہے۔
قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا بِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَلَا يُحَرِّمُونَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَلَا يَدِينُونَ دِينَ الْحَقِّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ حَتَّىٰ يُعْطُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَن يَدٍ وَهُمْ صَاغِرُونَ
English Translation:
Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
اردو ترجمہ:
ان لوگوں سے لڑو، جو اللہ پر اور قیامت کے دن پر ایمان نہیں لاتے جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی حرام کرده شے کو حرام نہیں جانتے، نہ دین حق کو قبول کرتے ہیں ان لوگوں میں جنہیں کتاب دی گئی ہے، یہاں تک کہ وه ذلیل وخوار ہو کر اپنے ہاتھ سے جزیہ ادا کریں۔
وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ عُزَيْرٌ ابْنُ اللَّهِ وَقَالَتِ النَّصَارَى الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ اللَّهِ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ قَوْلُهُم بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ ۖ يُضَاهِئُونَ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن قَبْلُ ۚ قَاتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ
English Translation:
And the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouths. They imitate the saying of the disbelievers of old. Allah's Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!
اردو ترجمہ:
یہود کہتے ہیں عزیر اللہ کا بیٹا ہے اور نصرانی کہتے ہیں مسیح اللہ کا بیٹا ہے یہ قول صرف ان کے منھ کی بات ہے۔ اگلے منکروں کی بات کی یہ بھی نقل کرنے لگے اللہ انہیں غارت کرے وه کیسے پلٹائے جاتے ہیں۔
اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَالْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا إِلَـٰهًا وَاحِدًا ۖ لَّا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
English Translation:
They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allah), and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded [in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)) to worship none but One Ilah (God - Allah) La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). Praise and glory be to Him, (far above is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)."
اردو ترجمہ:
ان لوگوں نے اللہ کو چھوڑ کر اپنے عالموں اور درویشوں کو رب بنایا ہے اور مریم کے بیٹے مسیح کو حالانکہ انہیں صرف ایک اکیلے اللہ ہی کی عبادت کا حکم دیا گیا تھا جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں وه پاک ہے ان کے شریک مقرر کرنے سے۔
يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى اللَّهُ إِلَّا أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ
English Translation:
They (the disbelievers, the Jews and the Christians) want to extinguish Allah's Light (with which Muhammad SAW has been sent - Islamic Monotheism) with their mouths, but Allah will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the Kafirun (disbelievers) hate (it).
اردو ترجمہ:
وه چاہتے ہیں کہ اللہ کے نور کو اپنے منھ سے بجھا دیں اور اللہ تعالیٰ انکاری ہے مگر اسی بات کا کہ اپنا نور پورا کرے گو کافر نا خوش رہیں۔
هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ
English Translation:
It is He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam), to make it superior over all religions even though the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) hate (it).
اردو ترجمہ:
اسی نے اپنے رسول کو ہدایت اور سچے دین کے ساتھ بھیجا ہے کہ اسے اور تمام مذہبوں پر غالب کر دے اگر چہ مشرک برا مانیں
۞ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الْأَحْبَارِ وَالرُّهْبَانِ لَيَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ النَّاسِ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ يَكْنِزُونَ الذَّهَبَ وَالْفِضَّةَ وَلَا يُنفِقُونَهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
English Translation:
O you who believe! Verily, there are many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks who devour the wealth of mankind in falsehood, and hinder (them) from the Way of Allah (i.e. Allah's Religion of Islamic Monotheism). And those who hoard up gold and silver [Al-Kanz: the money, the Zakat of which has not been paid], and spend it not in the Way of Allah, -announce unto them a painful torment.
اردو ترجمہ:
اے ایمان والو! اکثر علما اور عابد، لوگوں کا مال ناحق کھا جاتے ہیں اور اللہ کی راه سے روک دیتے ہیں اور جو لوگ سونے چاندی کا خزانہ رکھتے ہیں اور اللہ کی راه میں خرچ نہیں کرتے، انہیں دردناک عذاب کی خبر پہنچا دیجئے۔
يَوْمَ يُحْمَىٰ عَلَيْهَا فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتُكْوَىٰ بِهَا جِبَاهُهُمْ وَجُنُوبُهُمْ وَظُهُورُهُمْ ۖ هَـٰذَا مَا كَنَزْتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا مَا كُنتُمْ تَكْنِزُونَ
English Translation:
On the Day when that (Al-Kanz: money, gold and silver, etc., the Zakat of which has not been paid) will be heated in the Fire of Hell and with it will be branded their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs, (and it will be said unto them):-"This is the treasure which you hoarded for yourselves. Now taste of what you used to hoard."
اردو ترجمہ:
جس دن اس خزانے کو آتش دوزخ میں تپایا جائے گا پھر اس سے ان کی پیشانیاں اور پہلو اور پیٹھیں داغی جائیں گی (ان سے کہا جائے گا) یہ ہے جسے تم نے اپنے لئے خزانہ بنا کر رکھا تھا۔ پس اپنے خزانوں کا مزه چکھو۔
إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِندَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ وَقَاتِلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَافَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَافَّةً ۚ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
English Translation:
Verily, the number of months with Allah is twelve months (in a year), so was it ordained by Allah on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are Sacred, (i.e. the 1st, the 7th, the 11th and the 12th months of the Islamic calendar). That is the right religion, so wrong not yourselves therein, and fight against the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) collectively, as they fight against you collectively. But know that Allah is with those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2).
اردو ترجمہ:
مہینوں کی گنتی اللہ کے نزدیک کتاب اللہ میں باره کی ہے، اسی دن سے جب سے آسمان وزمین کو اس نے پیدا کیا ہے اس میں سے چار حرمت وادب کے ہیں ۔ یہی درست دین ہے، تم ان مہینوں میں اپنی جانوں پر ظلم نہ کرو اور تم تمام مشرکوں سے جہاد کرو جیسے کہ وه تم سب سے لڑتے ہیں اور جان رکھو کہ اللہ تعالی متقیوں کے ساتھ ہے۔
إِنَّمَا النَّسِيءُ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْكُفْرِ ۖ يُضَلُّ بِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُحِلُّونَهُ عَامًا وَيُحَرِّمُونَهُ عَامًا لِّيُوَاطِئُوا عِدَّةَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ فَيُحِلُّوا مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ ۚ زُيِّنَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ أَعْمَالِهِمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ
English Translation:
The postponing (of a Sacred Month) is indeed an addition to disbelief: thereby the disbelievers are led astray, for they make it lawful one year and forbid it another year in order to adjust the number of months forbidden by Allah, and make such forbidden ones lawful. The evil of their deeds seems pleasing to them. And Allah guides not the people, who disbelieve.
اردو ترجمہ:
مہینوں کا آگے پیچھے کر دینا کفر کی زیادتی ہے اس سے وه لوگ گمراہی میں ڈالے جاتے ہیں جو کافر ہیں۔ ایک سال تو اسے حلال کر لیتے ہیں اور ایک سال اسی کو حرمت والا کر لیتے ہیں، کہ اللہ نے جو حرمت رکھی ہے اس کے شمار میں تو موافقت کر لیں پھر اسے حلال بنا لیں جسے اللہ نے حرام کیا ہے انہیں ان کے برے کام بھلے دکھادیئے گئے ہیں اور قوم کفار کی اللہ رہنمائی نہیں فرماتا۔
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَا لَكُمْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُمُ انفِرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ اثَّاقَلْتُمْ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ۚ أَرَضِيتُم بِالْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ ۚ فَمَا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ
English Translation:
O you who believe! What is the matter with you, that when you are asked to march forth in the Cause of Allah (i.e. Jihad) you cling heavily to the earth? Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But little is the enjoyment of the life of this world as compared with the Hereafter.
اردو ترجمہ:
اے ایمان والو! تمہیں کیا ہو گیا ہے کہ جب تم سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ چلو اللہ کے راستے میں کوچ کرو تو تم زمین سے لگے جاتے ہو۔ کیا تم آخرت کے عوض دنیا کی زندگانی پر ہی ریجھ گئے ہو۔ سنو! دنیا کی زندگی تو آخرت کے مقابلے میں کچھ یونہی سی ہے۔
إِلَّا تَنفِرُوا يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَيَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلَا تَضُرُّوهُ شَيْئًا ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
English Translation:
If you march not forth, He will punish you with a painful torment and will replace you by another people, and you cannot harm Him at all, and Allah is Able to do all things.
اردو ترجمہ:
اگر تم نے کوچ نہ کیا تو تمہیں اللہ تعالیٰ دردناک سزا دے گا اور تمہارے سوا اور لوگوں کو بدل لائے گا، تم اللہ تعالی کو کوئی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکتے اور اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔
إِلَّا تَنصُرُوهُ فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ اللَّهُ إِذْ أَخْرَجَهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ثَانِيَ اثْنَيْنِ إِذْ هُمَا فِي الْغَارِ إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَنَا ۖ فَأَنزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَيَّدَهُ بِجُنُودٍ لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا السُّفْلَىٰ ۗ وَكَلِمَةُ اللَّهِ هِيَ الْعُلْيَا ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
English Translation:
If you help him (Muhammad SAW) not (it does not matter), for Allah did indeed help him when the disbelievers drove him out, the second of two, when they (Muhammad SAW and Abu Bakr) were in the cave, and he (SAW) said to his companion (Abu Bakr): "Be not sad (or afraid), surely Allah is with us." Then Allah sent down His Sakinah (calmness, tranquillity, peace, etc.) upon him, and strengthened him with forces (angels) which you saw not, and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowermost, while it was the Word of Allah that became the uppermost, and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
اردو ترجمہ:
اگر تم ان (نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) کی مدد نہ کرو تو اللہ ہی نے ان کی مدد کی اس وقت جبکہ انہیں کافروں نے (دیس سے) نکال دیا تھا، دو میں سے دوسرا جبکہ وه دونوں غار میں تھے جب یہ اپنے ساتھی سے کہہ رہے تھے کہ غم نہ کر اللہ ہمارے ساتھ ہے ، پس جناب باری نے اپنی طرف سے تسکین اس پر نازل فرما کر ان لشکروں سے اس کی مدد کی جنہیں تم نے دیکھا ہی نہیں، اس نے کافروں کی بات پست کر دی اور بلند وعزیز تو اللہ کا کلمہ ہی ہے، اللہ غالب ہے حکمت والا ہے۔
انفِرُوا خِفَافًا وَثِقَالًا وَجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
English Translation:
March forth, whether you are light (being healthy, young and wealthy) or heavy (being ill, old and poor), strive hard with your wealth and your lives in the Cause of Allah. This is better for you, if you but knew.
اردو ترجمہ:
نکل کھڑے ہو جاؤ ہلکے پھلکے ہو تو بھی اور بھاری بھر کم ہو تو بھی، اور راه رب میں اپنی مال وجان سے جہاد کرو، یہی تمہارے لئے بہتر ہے اگر تم میں علم ہو۔
لَوْ كَانَ عَرَضًا قَرِيبًا وَسَفَرًا قَاصِدًا لَّاتَّبَعُوكَ وَلَـٰكِن بَعُدَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّقَّةُ ۚ وَسَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَوِ اسْتَطَعْنَا لَخَرَجْنَا مَعَكُمْ يُهْلِكُونَ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ
English Translation:
Had it been a near gain (booty in front of them) and an easy journey, they would have followed you, but the distance (Tabuk expedition) was long for them, and they would swear by Allah, "If we only could, we would certainly have come forth with you." They destroy their ownselves, and Allah knows that they are liars.
اردو ترجمہ:
اگر جلد وصول ہونے والا مال واسباب ہوتا اور ہلکا سفر ہوتا تو یہ ضرور آپ کے پیچھے ہو لیتے لیکن ان پر تو دوری اور دراز کی مشکل پڑ گئی۔ اب تو یہ اللہ کی قسمیں کھائیں گے کہ اگر ہم میں قوت وطاقت ہوتی تو ہم یقیناً آپ کے ساتھ نکلتے، یہ اپنی جانوں کو خود ہی ہلاکت میں ڈال رہے ہیں ان کے جھوٹا ہونے کا سچا علم اللہ کو ہے۔
عَفَا اللَّهُ عَنكَ لِمَ أَذِنتَ لَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَتَعْلَمَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
English Translation:
May Allah forgive you (O Muhammad SAW). Why did you grant them leave (for remaining behind, you should have persisted as regards your order to them to proceed on Jihad), until those who told the truth were seen by you in a clear light, and you had known the liars?
اردو ترجمہ:
اللہ تجھے معاف فرما دے، تو نے انہیں کیوں اجازت دے دی؟ بغیر اس کے کہ تیرے سامنے سچے لوگ کھل جائیں اور تو جھوٹے لوگوں کو بھی جان لے۔
لَا يَسْتَأْذِنُكَ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَن يُجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالْمُتَّقِينَ
English Translation:
Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day would not ask your leave to be exempted from fighting with their properties and their lives, and Allah is the All-Knower of Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2).
اردو ترجمہ:
اللہ پر اور قیامت کے دن پر ایمان ویقین رکھنے والے تو مالی اور جانی جہاد سے رک رہنے کی کبھی بھی تجھ سے اجازت طلب نہیں کریں گے ، اور اللہ تعالیٰ پرہیزگاروں کو خوب جانتا ہے۔
إِنَّمَا يَسْتَأْذِنُكَ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَارْتَابَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي رَيْبِهِمْ يَتَرَدَّدُونَ
English Translation:
It is only those who believe not in Allah and the Last Day and whose hearts are in doubt that ask your leave (to be exempted from Jihad). So in their doubts they waver.
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ اجازت تو تجھ سے وہی طلب کرتے ہیں جنہیں نہ اللہ پر ایمان ہے نہ آخرت کے دن کا یقین ہے جن کے دل شک میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں اور وه اپنے شک میں ہی سرگرداں ہیں۔
۞ وَلَوْ أَرَادُوا الْخُرُوجَ لَأَعَدُّوا لَهُ عُدَّةً وَلَـٰكِن كَرِهَ اللَّهُ انبِعَاثَهُمْ فَثَبَّطَهُمْ وَقِيلَ اقْعُدُوا مَعَ الْقَاعِدِينَ
English Translation:
And if they had intended to march out, certainly, they would have made some preparation for it, but Allah was averse to their being sent forth, so He made them lag behind, and it was said (to them), "Sit you among those who sit (at home)."
اردو ترجمہ:
اگر ان کا اراده جہاد کے لئے نکلنے کا ہوتا تو وه اس سفر کے لئے سامان کی تیاری کر رکھتے لیکن اللہ کو ان کا اٹھنا پسند ہی نہ تھا اس لئے انہیں حرکت سے ہی روک دیا اور کہہ دیا گیا کہ تم بیٹھنے والوں کے ساتھ بیٹھے ہی رہو۔
لَوْ خَرَجُوا فِيكُم مَّا زَادُوكُمْ إِلَّا خَبَالًا وَلَأَوْضَعُوا خِلَالَكُمْ يَبْغُونَكُمُ الْفِتْنَةَ وَفِيكُمْ سَمَّاعُونَ لَهُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالظَّالِمِينَ
English Translation:
Had they marched out with you, they would have added to you nothing except disorder, and they would have hurried about in your midst (spreading corruption) and sowing sedition among you, and there are some among you who would have listened to them. And Allah is the All-Knower of the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.).
اردو ترجمہ:
اگر یہ تم میں مل کر نکلتے بھی تو تمہارے لئے سوائے فساد کے اور کوئی چیز نہ بڑھاتے بلکہ تمہارے درمیان خوب گھوڑے دوڑا دیتے اور تم میں فتنے ڈالنے کی تلاش میں رہتے ان کے ماننے والے خود تم میں موجود ہیں، اور اللہ ان ظالموں کو خوب جانتا ہے۔
لَقَدِ ابْتَغَوُا الْفِتْنَةَ مِن قَبْلُ وَقَلَّبُوا لَكَ الْأُمُورَ حَتَّىٰ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَظَهَرَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَهُمْ كَارِهُونَ
English Translation:
Verily, they had plotted sedition before, and had upset matters for you, - until the truth (victory) came and the Decree of Allah (His Religion, Islam) became manifest though they hated it.
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ تو اس سے پہلے بھی فتنے کی تلاش کرتے رہے ہیں اور تیرے لئے کاموں کو الٹ پلٹ کرتے رہے ہیں، یہاں تک کہ حق آپہنچا اور اللہ کا حکم غالب آگیا باوجودیکہ وه ناخوشی میں ہی رہے۔
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَقُولُ ائْذَن لِّي وَلَا تَفْتِنِّي ۚ أَلَا فِي الْفِتْنَةِ سَقَطُوا ۗ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ
English Translation:
And among them is he who says:"Grant me leave (to be exempted from Jihad) and put me not into trial." Surely, they have fallen into trial. And verily, Hell is surrounding the disbelievers.
اردو ترجمہ:
ان میں سے کوئی تو کہتا ہے مجھے اجازت دیجئے مجھے فتنے میں نہ ڈالیئے، آگاه رہو وه تو فتنے میں پڑ چکے ہیں اور یقیناً دوزخ کافروں کو گھیر لینے والی ہے۔
إِن تُصِبْكَ حَسَنَةٌ تَسُؤْهُمْ ۖ وَإِن تُصِبْكَ مُصِيبَةٌ يَقُولُوا قَدْ أَخَذْنَا أَمْرَنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَيَتَوَلَّوا وَّهُمْ فَرِحُونَ
English Translation:
If good befalls you (O Muhammad SAW), it grieves them, but if a calamity overtakes you, they say: "We took our precaution beforehand," and they turn away rejoicing.
اردو ترجمہ:
آپ کو اگر کوئی بھلائی مل جائے تو انہیں برا لگتا ہے اور کوئی برائی پہنچ جائے تو یہ کہتے ہیں ہم نے تو اپنا معاملہ پہلے سے ہی درست کر لیا تھا، پھر تو بڑے ہی اتراتے ہوئے لوٹتے ہیں۔
قُل لَّن يُصِيبَنَا إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَنَا هُوَ مَوْلَانَا ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
English Translation:
Say: "Nothing shall ever happen to us except what Allah has ordained for us. He is our Maula (Lord, Helper and Protector)." And in Allah let the believers put their trust.
اردو ترجمہ:
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ ہمیں سوائے اللہ کے ہمارے حق میں لکھے ہوئے کہ کوئی چیز پہنچ ہی نہیں سکتی وه ہمارا کار ساز اور مولیٰ ہے۔ مومنوں کو تو اللہ کی ذات پاک پر ہی بھروسہ کرنا چاہئے۔
قُلْ هَلْ تَرَبَّصُونَ بِنَا إِلَّا إِحْدَى الْحُسْنَيَيْنِ ۖ وَنَحْنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمْ أَن يُصِيبَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِعَذَابٍ مِّنْ عِندِهِ أَوْ بِأَيْدِينَا ۖ فَتَرَبَّصُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّتَرَبِّصُونَ
English Translation:
Say: "Do you wait for us (anything) except one of the two best things (martyrdom or victory); while we await for you either that Allah will afflict you with a punishment from Himself or at our hands. So wait, we too are waiting with you."
اردو ترجمہ:
کہہ دیجئے کہ تم ہمارے بارے میں جس چیز کا انتظار کر رہے ہو وه دو بھلائیوں میں سے ایک ہے اور ہم تمہارے حق میں اس کا انتظار کرتے ہیں کہ یا تو اللہ تعالیٰ اپنے پاس سے کوئی سزا تمہیں دے یا ہمارے ہاتھوں سے، پس ایک طرف تم منتظر رہو دوسری جانب تمہارے ساتھ ہم بھی منتظر ہیں۔
قُلْ أَنفِقُوا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا لَّن يُتَقَبَّلَ مِنكُمْ ۖ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ
English Translation:
Say: "Spend (in Allah's Cause) willingly or unwillingly, it will not be accepted from you. Verily, you are ever a people who are Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah)."
اردو ترجمہ:
کہہ دیجئے کہ تم خوشی یاناخوشی کسی طرح بھی خرچ کرو قبول تو ہرگز نہ کیا جائے گا ، یقیناً تم فاسق لوگ ہو۔
وَمَا مَنَعَهُمْ أَن تُقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ نَفَقَاتُهُمْ إِلَّا أَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِ وَلَا يَأْتُونَ الصَّلَاةَ إِلَّا وَهُمْ كُسَالَىٰ وَلَا يُنفِقُونَ إِلَّا وَهُمْ كَارِهُونَ
English Translation:
And nothing prevents their contributions from being accepted from them except that they disbelieved in Allah and in His Messenger (Muhammad SAW); and that they came not to As-Salat (the prayer) except in a lazy state; and that they offer not contributions but unwillingly.
اردو ترجمہ:
کوئی سبب ان کے خرچ کی قبولیت کے نہ ہونے کا اس کے سوا نہیں کہ یہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے منکر ہیں اور بڑی کاہلی سے ہی نماز کو آتے ہیں اور برے دل سے ہی خرچ کرتے ہیں۔
فَلَا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلَا أَوْلَادُهُمْ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُم بِهَا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَافِرُونَ
English Translation:
So let not their wealth or their children amaze you (O Muhammad SAW); in reality Allah's Plan is to punish them with these things in the life of the this world, and that their souls shall depart (die) while they are disbelievers.
اردو ترجمہ:
پس آپ کو ان کے مال واولاد تعجب میں نہ ڈال دیں ۔ اللہ کی چاہت یہی ہے کہ اس سے انہیں دنیا کی زندگی میں ہی سزا دے اور ان کے کفر ہی کی حالت میں ان کی جانیں نکل جائیں۔
وَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ لَمِنكُمْ وَمَا هُم مِّنكُمْ وَلَـٰكِنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ يَفْرَقُونَ
English Translation:
They swear by Allah that they are truly of you while they are not of you, but they are a people (hypocrites) who are afraid (that you may kill them).
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ اللہ کی قسم کھا کھا کر کہتے ہیں کہ یہ تمہاری جماعت کے لوگ ہیں، حالانکہ وه دراصل تمہارے نہیں بات صرف اتنی ہے کہ یہ ڈرپوک لوگ ہیں۔
لَوْ يَجِدُونَ مَلْجَأً أَوْ مَغَارَاتٍ أَوْ مُدَّخَلًا لَّوَلَّوْا إِلَيْهِ وَهُمْ يَجْمَحُونَ
English Translation:
Should they find a refuge, or caves, or a place of concealment, they would turn straightway thereto with a swift rush.
اردو ترجمہ:
اگر یہ کوئی بچاؤ کی جگہ یا کوئی غار یا کوئی بھی سر گھسانے کی جگہ پالیں تو ابھی اس طرح لگام توڑ کر الٹے بھاگ چھوٹیں۔
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَلْمِزُكَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ فَإِنْ أُعْطُوا مِنْهَا رَضُوا وَإِن لَّمْ يُعْطَوْا مِنْهَا إِذَا هُمْ يَسْخَطُونَ
English Translation:
And of them are some who accuse you (O Muhammad SAW) in the matter of (the distribution of) the alms. If they are given part thereof, they are pleased, but if they are not given thereof, behold! They are enraged!
اردو ترجمہ:
ان میں وه بھی ہیں جو خیراتی مال کی تقسیم کے بارے میں آپ پر عیب رکھتے ہیں ، اگر انہیں اس میں سے مل جائے تو خوش ہیں اور اگر اس میں سے نہ ملا تو فوراً بگڑ کھڑے ہوئے۔
وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ رَضُوا مَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَقَالُوا حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ سَيُؤْتِينَا اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ وَرَسُولُهُ إِنَّا إِلَى اللَّهِ رَاغِبُونَ
English Translation:
Would that they were contented with what Allah and His Messenger (SAW) gave them and had said: "Allah is Sufficient for us. Allah will give us of His Bounty, and (also) His Messenger (from alms, etc.). We implore Allah (to enrich us)."
اردو ترجمہ:
اگر یہ لوگ اللہ اور رسول کے دیئے ہوئے پر خوش رہتے اور کہہ دیتے کہ اللہ ہمیں کافی ہے اللہ ہمیں اپنے فضل سے دے گا اور اس کا رسول بھی، ہم تو اللہ کی ذات سے ہی توقع رکھنے والے ہیں۔
۞ إِنَّمَا الصَّدَقَاتُ لِلْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَالْعَامِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا وَالْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَالْغَارِمِينَ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ ۖ فَرِيضَةً مِّنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
English Translation:
As-Sadaqat (here it means Zakat) are only for the Fuqara' (poor), and Al-Masakin (the poor) and those employed to collect (the funds); and for to attract the hearts of those who have been inclined (towards Islam); and to free the captives; and for those in debt; and for Allah's Cause (i.e. for Mujahidun - those fighting in the holy wars), and for the wayfarer (a traveller who is cut off from everything); a duty imposed by Allah. And Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.
اردو ترجمہ:
صدقے صرف فقیروں کے لئے ہیں اور مسکینوں کے لئے اور ان کے وصول کرنے والوں کے لئے اور ان کے لئے جن کے دل پرچائے جاتے ہوں اور گردن چھڑانے میں اور قرض داروں کے لئے اور اللہ کی راه میں اور راہرو مسافروں کے لئے، فرض ہے اللہ کی طرف سے، اور اللہ علم وحکمت والا ہے۔
وَمِنْهُمُ الَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ النَّبِيَّ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ أُذُنٌ ۚ قُلْ أُذُنُ خَيْرٍ لَّكُمْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَيُؤْمِنُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
English Translation:
And among them are men who hurt the Prophet (Muhammad SAW) and say: "He is (lending his) ear (to every news)." Say: "He listens to what is best for you; he believes in Allah; has faith in the believers; and is a mercy to those of you who believe." But those who hurt Allah's Messenger (Muhammad SAW) will have a painful torment.
اردو ترجمہ:
ان میں سے وه بھی ہیں جو پیغمبر کو ایذا دیتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں کان کا کچا ہے، آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ وه کان تمہارے بھلے کے لئے ہے وه اللہ پر ایمان رکھتا ہے اور مسلمانوں کی بات کا یقین کرتا ہے اور تم میں سے جو اہل ایمان ہیں یہ ان کے لئے رحمت ہے، رسول اللہ ﴿صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم﴾ کو جو لوگ ایذا دیتے ہیں ان کے لئے دکھ کی مار ہے۔
يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ لِيُرْضُوكُمْ وَاللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَقُّ أَن يُرْضُوهُ إِن كَانُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
English Translation:
They swear by Allah to you (Muslims) in order to please you, but it is more fitting that they should please Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), if they are believers.
اردو ترجمہ:
محض تمہیں خوش کرنے کے لئے تمہارے سامنے اللہ کی قسمیں کھا جاتے ہیں حالانکہ اگر یہ ایمان دار ہوتے تو اللہ اور اس کا رسول رضامند کرنے کے زیاده مستحق تھے۔
أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّهُ مَن يُحَادِدِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَأَنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا فِيهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْخِزْيُ الْعَظِيمُ
English Translation:
Know they not that whoever opposes and shows hostility to Allah and His Messenger (SAW), certainly for him will be the Fire of Hell to abide therein. That is extreme disgrace.
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا یہ نہیں جانتے کہ جو بھی اللہ کی اور اس کے رسول کی مخالفت کرے گااس کے لئے یقیناً دوزخ کی آگ ہے جس میں وه ہمیشہ رہنے والا ہے، یہ زبردست رسوائی ہے۔
يَحْذَرُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ أَن تُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُورَةٌ تُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ ۚ قُلِ اسْتَهْزِئُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْرِجٌ مَّا تَحْذَرُونَ
English Translation:
The hypocrites fear lest a Surah (chapter of the Quran) should be revealed about them, showing them what is in their hearts. Say: "(Go ahead and) mock! But certainly Allah will bring to light all that you fear."
اردو ترجمہ:
منافقوں کو ہر وقت اس بات کا کھٹکا لگارہتا ہے کہ کہیں مسلمانوں پر کوئی سورت نہ اترے جو ان کے دلوں کی باتیں انہیں بتلا دے۔ کہہ دیجئے کہ تم مذاق اڑاتے رہو۔ یقیناً اللہ تعالیٰ اسے ظاہر کرنے والا ہے جس سے تم ڈر دبک رہے ہو۔
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّمَا كُنَّا نَخُوضُ وَنَلْعَبُ ۚ قُلْ أَبِاللَّهِ وَآيَاتِهِ وَرَسُولِهِ كُنتُمْ تَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
English Translation:
If you ask them (about this), they declare: "We were only talking idly and joking." Say: "Was it at Allah, and His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger (SAW) that you were mocking?"
اردو ترجمہ:
اگر آپ ان سے پوچھیں تو صاف کہہ دیں گے کہ ہم تو یونہی آپس میں ہنس بول رہے تھے۔ کہہ دیجئے کہ اللہ، اس کی آیتیں اور اس کا رسول ہی تمہارے ہنسی مذاق کے لئے ره گئے ہیں؟
لَا تَعْتَذِرُوا قَدْ كَفَرْتُم بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ ۚ إِن نَّعْفُ عَن طَائِفَةٍ مِّنكُمْ نُعَذِّبْ طَائِفَةً بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ
English Translation:
Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after you had believed. If We pardon some of you, We will punish others amongst you because they were Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.).
اردو ترجمہ:
تم بہانے نہ بناؤ یقیناً تم اپنے ایمان کے بعد بے ایمان ہوگئے ، اگر ہم تم میں سے کچھ لوگوں سے درگزر بھی کر لیں تو کچھ لوگوں کو ان کے جرم کی سنگین سزا بھی دیں گے۔
الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتُ بَعْضُهُم مِّن بَعْضٍ ۚ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمُنكَرِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَقْبِضُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ ۚ نَسُوا اللَّهَ فَنَسِيَهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ
English Translation:
The hypocrites, men and women, are from one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief and polytheism of all kinds and all that Islam has forbidden), and forbid (people) from Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and they close their hands [from giving (spending in Allah's Cause) alms, etc.]. They have forgotten Allah, so He has forgotten them. Verily, the hypocrites are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).
اردو ترجمہ:
تمام منافق مرد وعورت آپس میں ایک ہی ہیں ، یہ بری باتوں کا حکم دیتے ہیں اور بھلی باتوں سے روکتے ہیں اور اپنی مٹھی بند رکھتے ہیں، یہ اللہ کو بھول گئے اللہ نے انہیں بھلا دیا۔ بیشک منافق ہی فاسق وبدکردار ہیں۔
وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتِ وَالْكُفَّارَ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ هِيَ حَسْبُهُمْ ۚ وَلَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌ
English Translation:
Allah has promised the hypocrites; men and women, and the disbelievers, the Fire of Hell, therein shall they abide. It will suffice them. Allah has cursed them and for them is the lasting torment.
اردو ترجمہ:
اللہ تعالیٰ ان منافق مردوں، عورتوں اورکافروں سے جہنم کی آگ کا وعده کر چکا ہے جہاں یہ ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں، وہی انہیں کافی ہے ان پر اللہ کی پھٹکار ہے، اور ان ہی کے لئے دائمی عذاب ہے۔
كَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ كَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنكُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرَ أَمْوَالًا وَأَوْلَادًا فَاسْتَمْتَعُوا بِخَلَاقِهِمْ فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِخَلَاقِكُمْ كَمَا اسْتَمْتَعَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُم بِخَلَاقِهِمْ وَخُضْتُمْ كَالَّذِي خَاضُوا ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۖ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ
English Translation:
Like those before you, they were mightier than you in power, and more abundant in wealth and children. They had enjoyed their portion awhile, so enjoy your portion awhile as those before you enjoyed their portion awhile; and you indulged in play and pastime (and in telling lies against Allah and His Messenger Muhammad SAW) as they indulged in play and pastime. Such are they whose deeds are in vain in this world and in the Hereafter. Such are they who are the losers.
اردو ترجمہ:
مثل ان لوگوں کے جو تم سے پہلے تھے ، تم میں سے وه زیاده قوت والے تھے اور زیاده مال واولاد والے تھے پس وه اپنا دینی حصہ برت گئے پھر تم نے بھی اپنا حصہ برت لیا جیسے تم سے پہلے کے لوگ اپنے حصے سے فائده مند ہوئے تھے اور تم نے بھی اسی طرح مذاقانہ بحﺚ کی جیسے کہ انہوں نے کی تھی۔ ان کے اعمال دنیا اور آخرت میں غارت ہوگئے۔ یہی لوگ نقصان پانے والے ہیں۔
أَلَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوْمِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَأَصْحَابِ مَدْيَنَ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتِ ۚ أَتَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَـٰكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
English Translation:
Has not the story reached them of those before them? - The people of Nuh (Noah), 'Ad, and Thamud, the people of Ibrahim (Abraham), the dwellers of Madyan (Midian) and the cities overthrown [i.e. the people to whom Lout (Lot) preached], to them came their Messengers with clear proofs. So it was not Allah Who wronged them, but they used to wrong themselves.
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا انہیں اپنے سے پہلے لوگوں کی خبریں نہیں پہنچیں، قوم نوح اور عاد اور ﺛمود اور قوم ابراہیم اور اہل مدین اور اہل مؤتفکات (الٹی ہوئی بستیوں کے رہنے والے) کی ، ان کے پاس ان کے پیغمبر دلیلیں لے کر پہنچے، اللہ ایسا نہ تھا کہ ان پر ظلم کرے بلکہ انہوں نے خود ہی اپنے اوپر ظلم کیا۔
وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَيُطِيعُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ سَيَرْحَمُهُمُ اللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
English Translation:
The believers, men and women, are Auliya' (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden); they perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give the Zakat, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His Mercy on them. Surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
اردو ترجمہ:
مومن مرد وعورت آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے (مددگار ومعاون اور) دوست ہیں ، وه بھلائیوں کا حکم دیتے ہیں اور برائیوں سے روکتے ہیں، نمازوں کو پابندی سے بجا لاتے ہیں زکوٰة ادا کرتے ہیں، اللہ کی اور اس کے رسول کی بات مانتے ہیں، یہی لوگ ہیں جن پر اللہ تعالیٰ بہت جلد رحم فرمائے گا بیشک اللہ غلبے والا حکمت والا ہے۔
وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَمَسَاكِنَ طَيِّبَةً فِي جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ ۚ وَرِضْوَانٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
English Translation:
Allah has promised to the believers -men and women, - Gardens under which rivers flow to dwell therein forever, and beautiful mansions in Gardens of 'Adn (Eden Paradise). But the greatest bliss is the Good Pleasure of Allah. That is the supreme success.
اردو ترجمہ:
ان ایمان دار مردوں اور عورتوں سے اللہ نے ان جنتوں کا وعده فرمایا ہے جن کے نیچے نہریں لہریں لے رہی ہیں جہاں وه ہمیشہ ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں اور ان صاف ستھرے پاکیزه محلات کا جو ان ہمیشگی والی جنتوں میں ہیں، اور اللہ کی رضامندی سب سے بڑی چیز ہے، یہی زبردست کامیابی ہے۔
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ جَاهِدِ الْكُفَّارَ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ وَاغْلُظْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ
English Translation:
O Prophet (Muhammad SAW)! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be harsh against them, their abode is Hell, - and worst indeed is that destination.
اردو ترجمہ:
اے نبی! کافروں اور منافقوں سے جہاد جاری رکھو ، اور ان پر سخت ہو جاؤ ان کی اصلی جگہ دوزخ ہے، جو نہایت بدترین جگہ ہے۔
يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ مَا قَالُوا وَلَقَدْ قَالُوا كَلِمَةَ الْكُفْرِ وَكَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِسْلَامِهِمْ وَهَمُّوا بِمَا لَمْ يَنَالُوا ۚ وَمَا نَقَمُوا إِلَّا أَنْ أَغْنَاهُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ ۚ فَإِن يَتُوبُوا يَكُ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ ۖ وَإِن يَتَوَلَّوْا يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللَّهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۚ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ
English Translation:
They swear by Allah that they said nothing (bad), but really they said the word of disbelief, and they disbelieved after accepting Islam, and they resolved that (plot to murder Prophet Muhammad SAW) which they were unable to carry out, and they could not find any cause to do so except that Allah and His Messenger had enriched them of His Bounty. If then they repent, it will be better for them, but if they turn away, Allah will punish them with a painful torment in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. And there is none for them on earth as a Wali (supporter, protector) or a helper.
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ اللہ کی قسمیں کھا کر کہتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے نہیں کہا، حالانکہ یقیناً کفر کا کلمہ ان کی زبان سے نکل چکا ہے اور یہ اپنے اسلام کے بعد کافر ہوگئے ہیں اور انہوں نے اس کام کا قصد بھی کیا جو پورا نہ کر سکے۔ یہ صرف اسی بات کا انتقام لے رہے ہیں کہ انہیں اللہ نے اپنے فضل سے اور اس کے رسول ﴿صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم﴾ نے دولت مند کردیا، اگر یہ اب بھی توبہ کر لیں تو یہ ان کے حق میں بہتر ہے، اور اگر منھ موڑے رہیں تو اللہ تعالیٰ انہیں دنیا وآخرت میں دردناک عذاب دے گا اور زمین بھر میں ان کا کوئی حمایتی اور مددگار نہ کھڑا ہوگا۔
۞ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ عَاهَدَ اللَّهَ لَئِنْ آتَانَا مِن فَضْلِهِ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ وَلَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
English Translation:
And of them are some who made a covenant with Allah (saying): "If He bestowed on us of His Bounty, we will verily, give Sadaqah (Zakat and voluntary charity in Allah's Cause) and will be certainly among those who are righteous."
اردو ترجمہ:
ان میں وه بھی ہیں جنہوں نے اللہ سے عہد کیا تھا کہ اگر وه ہمیں اپنے فضل سے مال دے گا تو ہم ضرور صدقہ وخیرات کریں گے اور پکی طرح نیکو کاروں میں ہو جائیں گے۔
فَلَمَّا آتَاهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِ بَخِلُوا بِهِ وَتَوَلَّوا وَّهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ
English Translation:
Then when He gave them of His Bounty, they became niggardly [refused to pay the Sadaqah (Zakat or voluntary charity)], and turned away, averse.
اردو ترجمہ:
لیکن جب اللہ نے اپنے فضل سے انہیں دیا تو یہ اس میں بخیلی کرنے لگے اور ٹال مٹول کرکے منھ موڑ لیا۔
فَأَعْقَبَهُمْ نِفَاقًا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يَلْقَوْنَهُ بِمَا أَخْلَفُوا اللَّهَ مَا وَعَدُوهُ وَبِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ
English Translation:
So He punished them by putting hypocrisy into their hearts till the Day whereon they shall meet Him, because they broke that (covenant with Allah) which they had promised Him and because they used to tell lies.
اردو ترجمہ:
پس اس کی سزا میں اللہ نے ان کے دلوں میں نفاق ڈال دیا اللہ سے ملنے کے دنوں تک، کیونکہ انہوں نے اللہ سے کئے ہوئے وعدے کا خلاف کیا اور کیوں کہ جھوٹ بولتے رہے۔
أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَاهُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ
English Translation:
Know they not that Allah knows their secret ideas, and their Najwa (secret counsels), and that Allah is the All-Knower of the unseen.
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا وه نہیں جانتے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کو ان کے دل کا بھید اور ان کی سرگوشی سب معلوم ہے اور اللہ تعالیٰ غیب کی تمام باتوں سے خبردار ہے۔
الَّذِينَ يَلْمِزُونَ الْمُطَّوِّعِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ إِلَّا جُهْدَهُمْ فَيَسْخَرُونَ مِنْهُمْ ۙ سَخِرَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
English Translation:
Those who defame such of the believers who give charity (in Allah's Cause) voluntarily, and those who could not find to give charity (in Allah's Cause) except what is available to them, so they mock at them (believers), Allah will throw back their mockery on them, and they shall have a painful torment.
اردو ترجمہ:
جولوگ ان مسلمانوں پر طعنہ زنی کرتے ہیں جو دل کھول کر خیرات کرتے ہیں اور ان لوگوں پر جنہیں سوائے اپنی محنت مزدوری کے اور کچھ میسر ہی نہیں، پس یہ ان کا مذاق اڑاتے ہیں ، اللہ بھی ان سے تمسخر کرتا ہے انہی کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے۔
اسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ أَوْ لَا تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ إِن تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً فَلَن يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ
English Translation:
Whether you (O Muhammad SAW) ask forgiveness for them (hypocrites) or ask not forgiveness for them (and even) if you ask seventy times for their forgiveness Allah will not forgive them, because they have disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW). And Allah guides not those people who are Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).
اردو ترجمہ:
ان کے لئے تو استغفار کر یا نہ کر۔ اگر تو ستر مرتبہ بھی ان کے لئے استغفار کرے تو بھی اللہ انہیں ہرگز نہ بخشے گا یہ اس لئے کہ انہوں نے اللہ سے اور اس کے رسول سے کفر کیا ایسے فاسق لوگوں کو رب کریم ہدایت نہیں دیتا۔
فَرِحَ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ بِمَقْعَدِهِمْ خِلَافَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَكَرِهُوا أَن يُجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَقَالُوا لَا تَنفِرُوا فِي الْحَرِّ ۗ قُلْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ أَشَدُّ حَرًّا ۚ لَّوْ كَانُوا يَفْقَهُونَ
English Translation:
Those who stayed away (from Tabuk expedition) rejoiced in their staying behind the Messenger of Allah; they hated to strive and fight with their properties and their lives in the Cause of Allah, and they said: "March not forth in the heat." Say: "The Fire of Hell is more intense in heat", if only they could understand!
اردو ترجمہ:
پیچھے ره جانے والے لوگ رسول اللہ ﴿صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم﴾ کے جانے کے بعد اپنے بیٹھے رہنے پر خوش ہیں انہوں نے اللہ کی راه میں اپنے مال اور اپنی جانوں سے جہاد کرنا ناپسند رکھا اور انہوں نے کہہ دیا کہ اس گرمی میں مت نکلو۔ کہہ دیجئے کہ دوزخ کی آگ بہت ہی سخت گرم ہے، کاش کہ وه سمجھتے ہوتے۔
فَلْيَضْحَكُوا قَلِيلًا وَلْيَبْكُوا كَثِيرًا جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
English Translation:
So let them laugh a little and (they will) cry much as a recompense of what they used to earn (by committing sins).
اردو ترجمہ:
پس انہیں چاہئے کہ بہت کم ہنسیں اور بہت زیاده روئیں بدلے میں اس کے جو یہ کرتے تھے۔
فَإِن رَّجَعَكَ اللَّهُ إِلَىٰ طَائِفَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسْتَأْذَنُوكَ لِلْخُرُوجِ فَقُل لَّن تَخْرُجُوا مَعِيَ أَبَدًا وَلَن تُقَاتِلُوا مَعِيَ عَدُوًّا ۖ إِنَّكُمْ رَضِيتُم بِالْقُعُودِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ فَاقْعُدُوا مَعَ الْخَالِفِينَ
English Translation:
If Allah brings you back to a party of them (the hypocrites), and they ask your permission to go out (to fight), say: "Never shall you go out with me, nor fight an enemy with me; you agreed to sit inactive on the first occasion, then you sit (now) with those who lag behind."
اردو ترجمہ:
پس اگر اللہ تعالیٰ آپ کو ان کی کسی جماعت کی طرف لوٹا کر واپس لے آئے پھر یہ آپ سے میدان جنگ میں نکلنے کی اجازت طلب کریں تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تم میرے ساتھ ہرگز چل نہیں سکتے اور نہ میرے ساتھ تم دشمنوں سے لڑائی کر سکتے ہو۔ تم نے پہلی مرتبہ ہی بیٹھ رہنے کو پسند کیا تھا پس تم پیچھے ره جانے والوں میں ہی بیٹھے رہو۔
وَلَا تُصَلِّ عَلَىٰ أَحَدٍ مِّنْهُم مَّاتَ أَبَدًا وَلَا تَقُمْ عَلَىٰ قَبْرِهِ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ
English Translation:
And never (O Muhammad SAW) pray (funeral prayer) for any of them (hypocrites) who dies, nor stand at his grave. Certainly they disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger, and died while they were Fasiqun (rebellious, - disobedient to Allah and His Messenger SAW).
اردو ترجمہ:
ان میں سے کوئی مر جائے تو آپ اس کے جنازے کی ہرگز نماز نہ پڑھیں اور نہ اس کی قبر پر کھڑے ہوں ۔ یہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے منکر ہیں اور مرتے دم تک بدکار بے اطاعت رہے ہیں۔
وَلَا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَأَوْلَادُهُمْ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَن يُعَذِّبَهُم بِهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَافِرُونَ
English Translation:
And let not their wealth or their children amaze you. Allah's Plan is to punish them with these things in this world, and that their souls shall depart (die) while they are disbelievers.
اردو ترجمہ:
آپ کو ان کے مال واولاد کچھ بھی بھلے نہ لگیں! اللہ کی چاہت یہی ہے کہ انہیں ان چیزوں سے دنیوی سزا دے اور یہ اپنی جانیں نکلنے تک کافر ہی رہیں۔
وَإِذَا أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَجَاهِدُوا مَعَ رَسُولِهِ اسْتَأْذَنَكَ أُولُو الطَّوْلِ مِنْهُمْ وَقَالُوا ذَرْنَا نَكُن مَّعَ الْقَاعِدِينَ
English Translation:
And when a Surah (chapter from the Quran) is revealed, enjoining them to believe in Allah and to strive hard and fight along with His Messenger, the wealthy among them ask your leave to exempt them (from Jihad) and say, "Leave us (behind), we would be with those who sit (at home)."
اردو ترجمہ:
جب کوئی سورت اتاری جاتی ہے تو اللہ پر ایمان لاؤ اور اس کے رسول کے ساتھ مل کر جہاد کرو تو ان میں سے دولت مندوں کا ایک طبقہ آپ کے پاس آکر یہ کہہ کر رخصت لے لیتاہے کہ ہمیں تو بیٹھے رہنے والوں میں ہی چھوڑ دیجئے۔
رَضُوا بِأَن يَكُونُوا مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ وَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ
English Translation:
They are content to be with those (the women) who sit behind (at home). Their hearts are sealed up (from all kinds of goodness and right guidance), so they understand not.
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ تو خانہ نشین عورتوں کاساتھ دینے پر ریجھ گئے اور ان کے دلوں پر مہر لگا دی گئی اب وه کچھ سمجھ عقل نہیں رکھتے۔
لَـٰكِنِ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ جَاهَدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ ۚ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ لَهُمُ الْخَيْرَاتُ ۖ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
English Translation:
But the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) and those who believed with him (in Islamic Monotheism) strove hard and fought with their wealth and their lives (in Allah's Cause). Such are they for whom are the good things, and it is they who will be successful.
اردو ترجمہ:
لیکن خود رسول اللہ اور اس کے ساتھ کے ایمان والے اپنے مالوں اور جانوں سے جہاد کرتے ہیں، یہی لوگ بھلائیوں والے ہیں اور یہی لوگ کامیابی حاصل کرنے والے ہیں۔
أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
English Translation:
For them Allah has got ready Gardens (Paradise) under which rivers flow, to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success.
اردو ترجمہ:
ان کے لئے اللہ نے وه جنتیں تیار کی ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہیں جن میں یہ ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں۔ یہ بہت بڑی کامیابی ہے۔
وَجَاءَ الْمُعَذِّرُونَ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ لِيُؤْذَنَ لَهُمْ وَقَعَدَ الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ سَيُصِيبُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
English Translation:
And those who made excuses from the bedouins came (to you, O Prophet SAW) asking your permission to exempt them (from the battle), and those who had lied to Allah and His Messenger sat at home (without asking the permission for it); a painful torment will seize those of them who disbelieve.
اردو ترجمہ:
بادیہ نشینوں میں سے عذر والے لوگ حاضر ہوئے کہ انہیں رخصت دے دی جائے اور وه بیٹھ رہے جنہوں نے اللہ سے اور اس کے رسول سے جھوٹی باتیں بنائی تھیں۔ اب تو ان میں جتنے کفار ہیں انہیں دکھ دینے والی مار پہنچ کر رہے گی۔
لَّيْسَ عَلَى الضُّعَفَاءِ وَلَا عَلَى الْمَرْضَىٰ وَلَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ مَا يُنفِقُونَ حَرَجٌ إِذَا نَصَحُوا لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ۚ مَا عَلَى الْمُحْسِنِينَ مِن سَبِيلٍ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
English Translation:
There is no blame on those who are weak or ill or who find no resources to spend [in holy fighting (Jihad)], if they are sincere and true (in duty) to Allah and His Messenger. No ground (of complaint) can there be against the Muhsinun (good-doers - see the footnote of V. 9:120). And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
اردو ترجمہ:
ضعیفوں پر اور بیماروں پر اور ان پر جن کے پاس خرچ کرنے کو کچھ بھی نہیں کوئی حرج نہیں بشرطیکہ وه اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی خیر خواہی کرتے رہیں۔ ایسے نیک کاروں پر الزام کی کوئی راه نہیں، اللہ تعالیٰ بڑی مغفرت ورحمت والا ہے۔
وَلَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ إِذَا مَا أَتَوْكَ لِتَحْمِلَهُمْ قُلْتَ لَا أَجِدُ مَا أَحْمِلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ تَوَلَّوا وَّأَعْيُنُهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ حَزَنًا أَلَّا يَجِدُوا مَا يُنفِقُونَ
English Translation:
Nor (is there blame) on those who came to you to be provided with mounts, and when you said: "I can find no mounts for you," they turned back, while their eyes overflowing with tears of grief that they could not find anything to spend (for Jihad).
اردو ترجمہ:
ہاں ان پر بھی کوئی حرج نہیں جو آپ کے پاس آتے ہیں کہ آپ انہیں سواری مہیا کر دیں تو آپ جواب دیتے ہیں کہ میں تو تمہاری سواری کے لئے کچھ بھی نہیں پاتا، تو وه رنج وغم سے اپنی آنکھوں سے آنسو بہاتے ہوئے لوٹ جاتے ہیں کہ انہیں خرچ کرنے کے لئے کچھ بھی میسر نہیں۔
۞ إِنَّمَا السَّبِيلُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَسْتَأْذِنُونَكَ وَهُمْ أَغْنِيَاءُ ۚ رَضُوا بِأَن يَكُونُوا مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ وَطَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
English Translation:
The ground (of complaint) is only against those who are rich, and yet ask exemption. They are content to be with (the women) who sit behind (at home) and Allah has sealed up their hearts (from all kinds of goodness and right guidance) so that they know not (what they are losing).
اردو ترجمہ:
بیشک انہیں لوگوں پر راه الزام ہے جو باوجود دولتمند ہونے کے آپ سے اجازت طلب کرتے ہیں۔ یہ خانہ نشین عورتوں کا ساتھ دینے پر خوش ہیں اور ان کے دلوں پر مہر خداوندی لگ چکی ہے جس سے وه محض بے علم ہو گئے ہیں۔
يَعْتَذِرُونَ إِلَيْكُمْ إِذَا رَجَعْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ ۚ قُل لَّا تَعْتَذِرُوا لَن نُّؤْمِنَ لَكُمْ قَدْ نَبَّأَنَا اللَّهُ مِنْ أَخْبَارِكُمْ ۚ وَسَيَرَى اللَّهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
English Translation:
They (the hypocrites) will present their excuses to you (Muslims), when you return to them. Say (O Muhammad SAW) "Present no excuses, we shall not believe you. Allah has already informed us of the news concerning you. Allah and His Messenger will observe your deeds. In the end you will be brought back to the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, then He (Allah) will inform you of what you used to do." [Tafsir At-Tabari]
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ لوگ تمہارے سامنے عذر پیش کریں گے جب تم ان کے پاس واپس جاؤ گے۔ آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ یہ عذر پیش مت کرو ہم کبھی تم کو سچا نہ سمجھیں گے، اللہ تعالیٰ ہم کو تمہاری خبر دے چکا ہے اور آئنده بھی اللہ اور اس کا رسول تمہاری کارگزاری دیکھ لیں گے پھر ایسے کے پاس لوٹائے جاؤ گے جو پوشیده اور ظاہر سب کا جاننے والا ہے پھر وه تم کو بتادے گا جو کچھ تم کرتے تھے۔
سَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ إِذَا انقَلَبْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لِتُعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ ۖ فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ رِجْسٌ ۖ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
English Translation:
They will swear by Allah to you (Muslims) when you return to them, that you may turn away from them. So turn away from them. Surely, they are Rijsun [i.e. Najasun (impure) because of their evil deeds], and Hell is their dwelling place, - a recompense for that which they used to earn.
اردو ترجمہ:
ہاں وه اب تمہارے سامنے اللہ کی قسمیں کھا جائیں گے جب تم ان کے پاس واپس جاؤ گے تاکہ تم ان کو ان کی حالت پر چھوڑ دو۔ سو تم ان کو ان کی حالت پر چھوڑ دو۔ وه لوگ بالکل گندے ہیں اور ان کا ٹھکانہ دوزخ ہے ان کاموں کے بدلے جنہیں وه کیا کرتے تھے۔
يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ لِتَرْضَوْا عَنْهُمْ ۖ فَإِن تَرْضَوْا عَنْهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَرْضَىٰ عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ
English Translation:
They (the hypocrites) swear to you (Muslims) that you may be pleased with them, but if you are pleased with them, certainly Allah is not pleased with the people who are Al-Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ اس لیے قسمیں کھائیں گے کہ تم ان سے راضی ہوجاؤ۔ سو اگر تم ان سے راضی بھی ہوجاؤ تو اللہ تعالیٰ تو ایسے فاسق لوگوں سے راضی نہیں ہوتا۔
الْأَعْرَابُ أَشَدُّ كُفْرًا وَنِفَاقًا وَأَجْدَرُ أَلَّا يَعْلَمُوا حُدُودَ مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
English Translation:
The bedouins are the worst in disbelief and hypocrisy, and more likely to be in ignorance of the limits (Allah's Commandments and His Legal Laws, etc.) which Allah has revealed to His Messenger. And Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.
اردو ترجمہ:
دیہاتی لوگ کفر اور نفاق میں بہت ہی سخت ہیں اور ان کو ایسا ہونا ہی چاہئے کہ ان کو ان احکام کا علم نہ ہو جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے رسول پر نازل فرمائے ہیں اور اللہ بڑا علم والا بڑی حکمت والا ہے۔
وَمِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنفِقُ مَغْرَمًا وَيَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمُ الدَّوَائِرَ ۚ عَلَيْهِمْ دَائِرَةُ السَّوْءِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
English Translation:
And of the bedouins there are some who look upon what they spend (in Allah's Cause) as a fine and watch for calamities for you, on them be the calamity of evil. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ان دیہاتیوں میں سے بعض ایسے ہیں کہ جو کچھ خرچ کرتے ہیں اس کو جرمانہ سمجھتے ہیں اور تم مسلمانوں کے واسطے برے وقت کے منتظر رہتے ہیں، برا وقت ان ہی پر پڑنے والا ہے اور اللہ سننے والا جاننے والا ہے۔
وَمِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَيَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنفِقُ قُرُبَاتٍ عِندَ اللَّهِ وَصَلَوَاتِ الرَّسُولِ ۚ أَلَا إِنَّهَا قُرْبَةٌ لَّهُمْ ۚ سَيُدْخِلُهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
English Translation:
And of the bedouins there are some who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and look upon what they spend in Allah's Cause as approaches to Allah, and a cause of receiving the Messenger's invocations. Indeed these (spendings in Allah's Cause) are an approach for them. Allah will admit them to His Mercy. Certainly Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور بعض اہل دیہات میں ایسے بھی ہیں جو اللہ تعالیٰ پر اور قیامت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور جو کچھ خرچ کرتے ہیں اس کو عنداللہ قرب حاصل ہونے کا ذریعہ اور رسول کی دعا کا ذریعہ بناتے ہیں ، یاد رکھو کہ ان کا یہ خرچ کرنا بیشک ان کے لیے موجب قربت ہے، ان کو اللہ تعالیٰ ضرور اپنی رحمت میں داخل کرے گا۔ اللہ تعالیٰ بڑی مغفرت والا بڑی رحمت والا ہے۔
وَالسَّابِقُونَ الْأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنصَارِ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُم بِإِحْسَانٍ رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي تَحْتَهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
English Translation:
And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajirun (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansar (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhajirun) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور جو مہاجرین اور انصار سابق اور مقدم ہیں اور جتنے لوگ اخلاص کے ساتھ ان کے پیرو ہیں اللہ ان سب سے راضی ہوا اور وه سب اس سے راضی ہوئے اور اللہ نے ان کے لیے ایسے باغ مہیا کر رکھے ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی جن میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے یہ بڑی کامیابی ہے۔
وَمِمَّنْ حَوْلَكُم مِّنَ الْأَعْرَابِ مُنَافِقُونَ ۖ وَمِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ۖ مَرَدُوا عَلَى النِّفَاقِ لَا تَعْلَمُهُمْ ۖ نَحْنُ نَعْلَمُهُمْ ۚ سَنُعَذِّبُهُم مَّرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَذَابٍ عَظِيمٍ
English Translation:
And among the bedouins round about you, some are hypocrites, and so are some among the people of Al-Madinah, they exaggerate and persist in hypocrisy, you (O Muhammad SAW) know them not, We know them. We shall punish them twice, and thereafter they shall be brought back to a great (horrible) torment.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور کچھ تمہارے گردوپیش والوں میں اور کچھ مدینے والوں میں ایسے منافق ہیں کہ نفاق پر اڑے ہوئے ہیں، آپ ان کو نہیں جانتے، ان کو ہم جانتے ہیں ہم ان کو دہری سزا دیں گے، پھر وه بڑے بھاری عذاب کی طرف بھیجے جائیں گے۔
وَآخَرُونَ اعْتَرَفُوا بِذُنُوبِهِمْ خَلَطُوا عَمَلًا صَالِحًا وَآخَرَ سَيِّئًا عَسَى اللَّهُ أَن يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
English Translation:
And (there are) others who have acknowledged their sins, they have mixed a deed that was righteous with another that was evil. Perhaps Allah will turn unto them in forgiveness. Surely, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور کچھ اور لوگ ہیں جو اپنی خطا کے اقراری ہیں جنہوں نے ملے جلے عمل کیے تھے، کچھ بھلے اور کچھ برے۔ اللہ سے امید ہے کہ ان کی توبہ قبول فرمائے۔ بلاشبہ اللہ تعالیٰ بڑی مغفرت والا بڑی رحمت والا ہے۔
خُذْ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ صَدَقَةً تُطَهِّرُهُمْ وَتُزَكِّيهِم بِهَا وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ إِنَّ صَلَاتَكَ سَكَنٌ لَّهُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
English Translation:
Take Sadaqah (alms) from their wealth in order to purify them and sanctify them with it, and invoke Allah for them. Verily! Your invocations are a source of security for them, and Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.
اردو ترجمہ:
آپ ان کے مالوں میں سے صدقہ لے لیجئے، جس کے ذریعہ سے آپ ان کو پاک صاف کردیں اور ان کے لیے دعا کیجئے ، بلاشبہ آپ کی دعا ان کے لیے موجب اطمینان ہے اور اللہ تعالیٰ خوب سنتا ہے خوب جانتا ہے۔
أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ يَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَأْخُذُ الصَّدَقَاتِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
English Translation:
Know they not that Allah accepts repentance from His slaves and takes the Sadaqat (alms, charities) and that Allah Alone is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful?
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا ان کو یہ خبر نہیں کہ اللہ ہی اپنے بندوں کی توبہ قبول کرتا ہے اور وہی صدقات کو قبول فرماتا ہے اور یہ کہ اللہ ہی توبہ قبول کرنے میں اور رحمت کرنے میں کامل ہے۔
وَقُلِ اعْمَلُوا فَسَيَرَى اللَّهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۖ وَسَتُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
English Translation:
And say (O Muhammad SAW) "Do deeds! Allah will see your deeds, and (so will) His Messenger and the believers. And you will be brought back to the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen. Then He will inform you of what you used to do."
اردو ترجمہ:
کہہ دیجئے کہ تم عمل کیے جاؤ تمہارے عمل اللہ خود دیکھ لے گا اور اس کا رسول اور ایمان والے (بھی دیکھ لیں گے) اور ضرور تم کو ایسے کے پاس جانا ہے جو تمام چھپی اور کھلی چیزوں کا جاننے والا ہے۔ سو وه تم کو تمہارا سب کیا ہوا بتلا دے گا۔
وَآخَرُونَ مُرْجَوْنَ لِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ إِمَّا يُعَذِّبُهُمْ وَإِمَّا يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
English Translation:
And others await Allah's Decree, whether He will punish them or will forgive them. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور کچھ اور لوگ ہیں جن کا معاملہ اللہ کے حکم آنے تک ملتوی ہے ان کو سزا دے گا یا ان کی توبہ قبول کرلے گا، اور اللہ خوب جاننے والا ہے بڑا حکمت والا ہے۔
وَالَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مَسْجِدًا ضِرَارًا وَكُفْرًا وَتَفْرِيقًا بَيْنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِرْصَادًا لِّمَنْ حَارَبَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ وَلَيَحْلِفُنَّ إِنْ أَرَدْنَا إِلَّا الْحُسْنَىٰ ۖ وَاللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ
English Translation:
And as for those who put up a mosque by way of harming and disbelief, and to disunite the believers, and as an outpost for those who warred against Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) aforetime, they will indeed swear that their intention is nothing but good. Allah bears witness that they are certainly liars.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور بعض ایسے ہیں جنہوں نے ان اغراض کے لیے مسجد بنائی ہے کہ ضرر پہنچائیں اور کفر کی باتیں کریں اور ایمانداروں میں تفریق ڈالیں اور اس شخص کے قیام کا سامان کریں جو اس سے پہلے سے اللہ اور رسول کا مخالف ہے ، اور قسمیں کھا جائیں گے کہ بجز بھلائی کے اور ہماری کچھ نیت نہیں، اور اللہ گواه ہے کہ وه بالکل جھوٹے ہیں۔
لَا تَقُمْ فِيهِ أَبَدًا ۚ لَّمَسْجِدٌ أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَىٰ مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ أَحَقُّ أَن تَقُومَ فِيهِ ۚ فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَن يَتَطَهَّرُوا ۚ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ
English Translation:
Never stand you therein. Verily, the mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety is more worthy that you stand therein (to pray). In it are men who love to clean and to purify themselves. And Allah loves those who make themselves clean and pure (i.e. who clean their private parts with dust [i.e. to be considered as soap) and water from urine and stools, after answering the call of nature].
اردو ترجمہ:
آپ اس میں کبھی کھڑے نہ ہوں ۔ البتہ جس مسجد کی بنیاد اول دن سے تقویٰ پر رکھی گئی ہے وه اس لائق ہے کہ آپ اس میں کھڑے ہوں، اس میں ایسے آدمی ہیں کہ وه خوب پاک ہونے کو پسند کرتے ہیں، اور اللہ تعالیٰ خوب پاک ہونے والوں کو پسند کرتا ہے۔
أَفَمَنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَانَهُ عَلَىٰ تَقْوَىٰ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانٍ خَيْرٌ أَم مَّنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَانَهُ عَلَىٰ شَفَا جُرُفٍ هَارٍ فَانْهَارَ بِهِ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
English Translation:
Is it then he, who laid the foundation of his building on piety to Allah and His Good Pleasure, better, or he who laid the foundation of his building on an undetermined brink of a precipice ready to crumble down, so that it crumbled to pieces with him into the Fire of Hell. And Allah guides not the people who are the Zalimun (cruel, violent, proud, polytheist and wrong-doer).
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر آیا ایسا شخص بہتر ہے جس نے اپنی عمارت کی بنیاد اللہ سے ڈرنے پر اور اللہ کی خوشنودی پر رکھی ہو، یا وه شخص، کہ جس نے اپنی عمارت کی بنیاد کسی گھاٹی کے کنارے پر جو کہ گرنے ہی کو ہو، رکھی ہو، پھر وه اس کو لے کر آتش دوزخ میں گر پڑے ، اور اللہ تعالیٰ ایسے ظالموں کو سمجھ ہی نہیں دیتا۔
لَا يَزَالُ بُنْيَانُهُمُ الَّذِي بَنَوْا رِيبَةً فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ إِلَّا أَن تَقَطَّعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
English Translation:
The building which they built will never cease to be a cause of hypocrisy and doubt in their hearts, unless their hearts are cut to pieces. (i.e. till they die). And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
اردو ترجمہ:
ان کی یہ عمارت جو انہوں نے بنائی ہے ہمیشہ ان کے دلوں میں شک کی بنیاد پر (کانٹا بن کر) کھٹکتی رہے گی، ہاں مگر ان کے دل ہی اگر پاش پاش ہوجائیں تو خیر، اور اللہ تعالیٰ بڑا علم والا بڑی حکمت والا ہے۔
۞ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اشْتَرَىٰ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُم بِأَنَّ لَهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ ۚ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَيَقْتُلُونَ وَيُقْتَلُونَ ۖ وَعْدًا عَلَيْهِ حَقًّا فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنجِيلِ وَالْقُرْآنِ ۚ وَمَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِعَهْدِهِ مِنَ اللَّهِ ۚ فَاسْتَبْشِرُوا بِبَيْعِكُمُ الَّذِي بَايَعْتُم بِهِ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
English Translation:
Verily, Allah has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allah's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Quran. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success.
اردو ترجمہ:
بلاشبہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے مسلمانوں سے ان کی جانوں کو اور ان کے مالوں کو اس بات کے عوض میں خرید لیا ہے کہ ان کو جنت ملے گی ۔ وه لوگ اللہ کی راه میں لڑتے ہیں جس میں قتل کرتے ہیں اور قتل کیے جاتے ہیں، اس پر سچا وعده کیا گیا ہے تورات میں اور انجیل میں اور قرآن میں اور اللہ سے زیاده اپنے عہد کو کون پورا کرنے والا ہے، تو تم لوگ اپنی اس بیع پر جس کا تم نے معاملہ ٹھہرایا ہے خوشی مناؤ،اور یہی بہت بڑی کامیابی ہے۔
التَّائِبُونَ الْعَابِدُونَ الْحَامِدُونَ السَّائِحُونَ الرَّاكِعُونَ السَّاجِدُونَ الْآمِرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَالنَّاهُونَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَالْحَافِظُونَ لِحُدُودِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
English Translation:
(The believers whose lives Allah has purchased are) those who repent to Allah (from polytheism and hypocrisy, etc.), who worship Him, who praise Him, who fast (or go out in Allah's Cause), who bow down (in prayer), who prostrate themselves (in prayer), who enjoin (people) for Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all what Islam has ordained) and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds and all that Islam has forbidden), and who observe the limits set by Allah (do all that Allah has ordained and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which Allah has forbidden). And give glad tidings to the believers.
اردو ترجمہ:
وه ایسے ہیں جو توبہ کرنے والے، عبادت کرنے والے، حمد کرنے والے، روزه رکھنے والے، (یا راه حق میں سفر کرنے والے) رکوع اور سجده کرنے والے، نیک باتوں کی تعلیم کرنے والے اور بری باتوں سے باز رکھنے والے اور اللہ کی حدوں کا خیال رکھنے والے ہیں اور ایسے مومنین کو آپ خوشخبری سنا دیجئے؟
مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَن يَسْتَغْفِرُوا لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَلَوْ كَانُوا أُولِي قُرْبَىٰ مِن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ
English Translation:
It is not (proper) for the Prophet and those who believe to ask Allah's Forgiveness for the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) even though they be of kin, after it has become clear to them that they are the dwellers of the Fire (because they died in a state of disbelief).
اردو ترجمہ:
پیغمبر کو اور دوسرے مسلمانوں کو جائز نہیں کہ مشرکین کے لیے مغفرت کی دعا مانگیں اگرچہ وه رشتہدار ہی ہوں اس امر کے ظاہر ہوجانے کے بعد کہ یہ لوگ دوزخی ہیں۔
وَمَا كَانَ اسْتِغْفَارُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ إِلَّا عَن مَّوْعِدَةٍ وَعَدَهَا إِيَّاهُ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ أَنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ لِّلَّهِ تَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَأَوَّاهٌ حَلِيمٌ
English Translation:
And [Ibrahim's (Abraham)] invoking (of Allah) for his father's forgiveness was only because of a promise he [Ibrahim (Abraham)] had made to him (his father). But when it became clear to him [Ibrahim (Abraham)] that he (his father) is an enemy to Allah, he dissociated himself from him. Verily Ibrahim (Abraham) was Al-Awwah (has fifteen different meanings but the correct one seems to be that he used to invoke Allah with humility, glorify Him and remember Him much), and was forbearing. (Tafsir Al-Qurtubi).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کا اپنے باپ کے لیے دعائے مغفرت مانگنا وه صرف وعده کے سبب سے تھا جو انہوں نے اس سے وعده کرلیا تھا۔ پھر جب ان پر یہ بات ظاہر ہوگئی کہ وه اللہ کا دشمن ہے تو وه اس سے محض بے تعلق ہوگئے ، واقعی ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) بڑے نرم دل اور برد بار تھے۔
وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُضِلَّ قَوْمًا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَاهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُبَيِّنَ لَهُم مَّا يَتَّقُونَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
English Translation:
And Allah will never lead a people astray after He has guided them until He makes clear to them as to what they should avoid. Verily, Allah is the All-Knower of everything.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور اللہ ایسا نہیں کرتا کہ کسی قوم کو ہدایت کر کے بعد میں گمراه کر دے جب تک کہ ان چیزوں کو صاف صاف نہ بتلادے جن سے وه بچیں بیشک اللہ تعالیٰ ہر چیز کو خوب جانتا ہے۔
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۚ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ
English Translation:
Verily, Allah! Unto Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, He gives life and He causes death. And besides Allah you have neither any Wali (protector or guardian) nor any helper.
اردو ترجمہ:
بلاشبہ اللہ ہی کی سلطنت ہے آسمانوں اور زمین میں۔ وہی جلاتا اور مارتا ہے، اور تمہارا اللہ کے سوا نہ کوئی یار ہے اور نہ کوئی مدد گار ہے۔
لَّقَد تَّابَ اللَّهُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنصَارِ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ فِي سَاعَةِ الْعُسْرَةِ مِن بَعْدِ مَا كَادَ يَزِيغُ قُلُوبُ فَرِيقٍ مِّنْهُمْ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِهِمْ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
English Translation:
Allah has forgiven the Prophet (SAW), the Muhajirun (Muslim emigrants who left their homes and came to Al-Madinah) and the Ansar (Muslims of Al-Madinah) who followed him (Muhammad SAW) in the time of distress (Tabuk expedition, etc.), after the hearts of a party of them had nearly deviated (from the Right Path), but He accepted their repentance. Certainly, He is unto them full of Kindness, Most Merciful.
اردو ترجمہ:
اللہ تعالیٰ نے پیغمبر کے حال پر توجہ فرمائی اور مہاجرین اور انصار کے حال پر بھی جنہوں نے ایسی تنگی کے وقت پیغمبر کا ساتھ دیا ، اس کے بعد کہ ان میں سے ایک گروه کے دلوں میں کچھ تزلزل ہو چلا تھا۔ پھر اللہ نے ان کے حال پر توجہ فرمائی۔ بلاشبہ اللہ تعالیٰ ان سب پر بہت ہی شفیق مہربان ہے۔
وَعَلَى الثَّلَاثَةِ الَّذِينَ خُلِّفُوا حَتَّىٰ إِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَظَنُّوا أَن لَّا مَلْجَأَ مِنَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوبُوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
English Translation:
And (He did forgive also) the three [who did not join the Tabuk expedition (whom the Prophet SAW)] left (i.e. he did not give his judgement in their case, and their case was suspended for Allah's Decision) till for them the earth, vast as it is, was straitened and their ownselves were straitened to them, and they perceived that there is no fleeing from Allah, and no refuge but with Him. Then, He accepted their repentance, that they might repent (unto Him). Verily, Allah is the One Who accepts repentance, Most Merciful.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور تین شخصوں کے حال پر بھی جن کا معاملہ ملتوی چھوڑ دیا گیا تھا ۔ یہاں تک کہ جب زمین باوجود اپنی فراخی کے ان پر تنگ ہونے لگی اور وه خود اپنی جان سے تنگ آگئے اور انہوں نے سمجھ لیا کہ اللہ سے کہیں پناه نہیں مل سکتی بجز اس کے کہ اسی کی طرف رجوع کیا جائے پھر ان کے حال پر توجہ فرمائی تاکہ وه آئنده بھی توبہ کرسکیں۔ بیشک اللہ تعالیٰ بہت توبہ قبول کرنے والا بڑا رحم والا ہے۔
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ
English Translation:
O you who believe! Be afraid of Allah, and be with those who are true (in words and deeds).
اردو ترجمہ:
اے ایمان والو! اللہ تعالیٰ سے ڈرو اور سچوں کے ساتھ رہو۔
مَا كَانَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُم مِّنَ الْأَعْرَابِ أَن يَتَخَلَّفُوا عَن رَّسُولِ اللَّهِ وَلَا يَرْغَبُوا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ عَن نَّفْسِهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ لَا يُصِيبُهُمْ ظَمَأٌ وَلَا نَصَبٌ وَلَا مَخْمَصَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَا يَطَئُونَ مَوْطِئًا يَغِيظُ الْكُفَّارَ وَلَا يَنَالُونَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ نَّيْلًا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُم بِهِ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
English Translation:
It was not becoming of the people of Al-Madinah and the bedouins of the neighbourhood to remain behind Allah's Messenger (Muhammad SAW when fighting in Allah's Cause) and (it was not becoming of them) to prefer their own lives to his life. That is because they suffer neither thirst nor fatigue, nor hunger in the Cause of Allah, nor they take any step to raise the anger of disbelievers nor inflict any injury upon an enemy but is written to their credit as a deed of righteousness. Surely, Allah wastes not the reward of the Muhsinun
اردو ترجمہ:
مدینہ کے رہنے والوں کو اور جو دیہاتی ان کے گردوپیش ہیں ان کو یہ زیبا نہ تھا کہ رسول اللہ کو چھوڑ کر پیچھے ره جائیں اور نہ یہ کہ اپنی جان کو ان کی جان سے عزیز سمجھیں، یہ اس سبب سے کہ ان کو اللہ کی راه میں جو پیاس لگی اور جو تکان پہنچی اور جو بھوک لگی اور جو کسی ایسی جگہ چلے جو کفار کے لیے موجب غیظ ہوا ہو اور دشمنوں کی جو کچھ خبر لی، ان سب پر ان کے نام (ایک ایک) نیک کام لکھا گیا۔ یقیناً اللہ تعالیٰ مخلصین کا اجر ضائع نہیں کرتا۔
وَلَا يُنفِقُونَ نَفَقَةً صَغِيرَةً وَلَا كَبِيرَةً وَلَا يَقْطَعُونَ وَادِيًا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
English Translation:
Nor do they spend anything (in Allah's Cause) - small or great - nor cross a valley, but is written to their credit, that Allah may recompense them with the best of what they used to do (i.e. Allah will reward their good deeds according to the reward of their best deeds which they did in the most perfect manner).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور جو کچھ چھوٹا بڑا انہوں نے خرچ کیا اور جتنے میدان ان کو طے کرنے پڑے ، یہ سب بھی ان کے نام لکھا گیا تاکہ اللہ تعالیٰ ان کے کاموں کا اچھے سے اچھا بدلہ دے۔
۞ وَمَا كَانَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لِيَنفِرُوا كَافَّةً ۚ فَلَوْلَا نَفَرَ مِن كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ طَائِفَةٌ لِّيَتَفَقَّهُوا فِي الدِّينِ وَلِيُنذِرُوا قَوْمَهُمْ إِذَا رَجَعُوا إِلَيْهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَحْذَرُونَ
English Translation:
And it is not (proper) for the believers to go out to fight (Jihad) all together. Of every troop of them, a party only should go forth, that they (who are left behind) may get instructions in (Islamic) religion, and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may beware (of evil).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور مسلمانوں کو یہ نہ چاہئے کہ سب کے سب نکل کھڑے ہوں سو ایسا کیوں نہ کیا جائے کہ ان کی ہر بڑی جماعت میں سے ایک چھوٹی جماعت جایا کرے تاکہ وه دین کی سمجھ بوجھ حاصل کریں اور تاکہ یہ لوگ اپنی قوم کو جب کہ وه ان کے پاس آئیں، ڈرائیں تاکہ وه ڈر جائیں۔
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ يَلُونَكُم مِّنَ الْكُفَّارِ وَلْيَجِدُوا فِيكُمْ غِلْظَةً ۚ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
English Translation:
O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who are the Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2).
اردو ترجمہ:
اے ایمان والو! ان کفار سے لڑو جو تمہارے آس پاس ہیں اور ان کو تمہارے اندر سختی پانا چاہئے۔ اور یقین رکھو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ متقی لوگوں کے ساتھ ہے۔
وَإِذَا مَا أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَمِنْهُم مَّن يَقُولُ أَيُّكُمْ زَادَتْهُ هَـٰذِهِ إِيمَانًا ۚ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فَزَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَهُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
English Translation:
And whenever there comes down a Surah (chapter from the Quran), some of them (hypocrites) say: "Which of you has had his Faith increased by it?" As for those who believe, it has increased their Faith, and they rejoice.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور جب کوئی سورت نازل کی جاتی ہے تو بعض منافقین کہتے ہیں کہ اس سورت نے تم میں سے کس کے ایمان کو زیاده کیا ہے ، سو جو لوگ ایمان والے ہیں اس سورت نے ان کے ایمان کو زیاده کیا ہے اور وه خوش ہورہے ہیں۔
وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ فَزَادَتْهُمْ رِجْسًا إِلَىٰ رِجْسِهِمْ وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ كَافِرُونَ
English Translation:
But as for those in whose hearts is a disease (of doubt, disbelief and hypocrisy), it will add suspicion and doubt to their suspicion, disbelief and doubt, and they die while they are disbelievers.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور جن کے دلوں میں روگ ہے اس سورت نے ان میں ان کی گندگی کے ساتھ اور گندگی بڑھا دی اور وه حالت کفر ہی میں مر گئے۔
أَوَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُمْ يُفْتَنُونَ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ مَّرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ لَا يَتُوبُونَ وَلَا هُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
English Translation:
See they not that they are tried once or twice every year (with different kinds of calamities, disease, famine, etc.)? Yet, they turn not in repentance, nor do they learn a lesson (from it).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور کیا ان کو نہیں دکھلائی دیتا کہ یہ لوگ ہر سال ایک بار یا دو بار کسی نہ کسی آفت میں پھنستے رہتے ہیں پھر بھی نہ توبہ کرتے اور نہ نصیحت قبول کرتے ہیں۔
وَإِذَا مَا أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ نَّظَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ هَلْ يَرَاكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ ثُمَّ انصَرَفُوا ۚ صَرَفَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُم بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ
English Translation:
And whenever there comes down a Surah (chapter from the Quran), they look at one another (saying): "Does any one see you?" Then they turn away. Allah has turned their hearts (from the light) because they are a people that understand not.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور جب کوئی سورت نازل کی جاتی ہے تو ایک دوسرے کو دیکھنے لگتے ہیں کہ تم کو کوئی دیکھتا تو نہیں پھر چل دیتے ہیں اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان کا دل پھیر دیا ہے اس وجہ سے کہ وه بے سمجھ لوگ ہیں۔
لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُم بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
English Translation:
Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) from amongst yourselves (i.e. whom you know well). It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He (Muhammad SAW) is anxious over you (to be rightly guided, to repent to Allah, and beg Him to pardon and forgive your sins, in order that you may enter Paradise and be saved from the punishment of the Hell-fire), for the believers (he SAW is) full of pity, kind, and merciful.
اردو ترجمہ:
تمہارے پاس ایک ایسے پیغمبر تشریف لائے ہیں جو تمہاری جنس سے ہیں جن کو تمہاری مضرت کی بات نہایت گراں گزرتی ہے جو تمہاری منفعت کے بڑے خواہش مند رہتے ہیں ایمان والوں کے ساتھ بڑے ہی شفیق اور مہربان ہیں۔
فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ ۖ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
English Translation:
But if they turn away, say (O Muhammad SAW): "Allah is sufficient for me. La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), in Him I put my trust and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر اگر رو گردانی کریں تو آپ کہہ دیجیئے کہ میرے لیے اللہ کافی ہے، اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ میں نے اسی پر بھروسہ کیا اور وه بڑے عرش کا مالک ہے۔
