Ghafir - غافر (Surah 40)

حم
English Translation:
Ha-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].
اردو ترجمہ:
حٰم.
تَنزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ
English Translation:
The revelation of the Book (this Quran) is from Allah the All-Mighty, the All-Knower.
اردو ترجمہ:
اس کتاب کا نازل فرمانا اس اللہ کی طرف سے ہے جو غالب اور دانا ہے.
غَافِرِ الذَّنبِ وَقَابِلِ التَّوْبِ شَدِيدِ الْعِقَابِ ذِي الطَّوْلِ ۖ لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ إِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ
English Translation:
The Forgiver of sin, the Acceptor of repentance, the Severe in punishment, the Bestower (of favours), La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), to Him is the final return.
اردو ترجمہ:
گناه کا بخشنے والا اور توبہ کا قبول فرمانے والا سخت عذاب والا انعام و قدرت والا، جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ اسی کی طرف واپس لوٹنا ہے.
مَا يُجَادِلُ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَلَا يَغْرُرْكَ تَقَلُّبُهُمْ فِي الْبِلَادِ
English Translation:
None disputes in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah but those who disbelieve. So let not their ability of going about here and there through the land (for their purposes) deceive you [O Muhammad SAW, their ultimate end will be the Fire of Hell]!
اردو ترجمہ:
اللہ تعالیٰ کی آیتوں میں وہی لوگ جھگڑتے ہیں جو کافر ہیں پس ان لوگوں کا شہروں میں چلنا پھرنا آپ کو دھوکے میں نہ ڈالے.
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَالْأَحْزَابُ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ ۖ وَهَمَّتْ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ بِرَسُولِهِمْ لِيَأْخُذُوهُ ۖ وَجَادَلُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا بِهِ الْحَقَّ فَأَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ
English Translation:
The people of Nuh (Noah) and the confederates after them denied (their Messengers) before these, and every (disbelieving) nation plotted against their Messenger to seize him, and disputed by means of falsehood to refute therewith the truth. So I seized them (with punishment), and how (terrible) was My punishment!
اردو ترجمہ:
قوم نوح نے اور ان کے بعد کے گروہوں نے بھی جھٹلایا تھا۔ اور ہر امت نے اپنے رسول کو گرفتار کر لینے کا اراده کیا اور باطل کے ذریعہ کج بحثیاں کیں، تاکہ ان سے حق کو بگاڑ دیں پس میں نے ان کو پکڑ لیا، سو میری طرف سے کیسی سزا ہوئی.
وَكَذَٰلِكَ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ
English Translation:
Thus has the Word of your Lord been justified against those who disbelieved, that they will be the dwellers of the Fire.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور اسی طرح آپ کے رب کا حکم کافروں پر ﺛابت ہو گیا کہ وه دوزخی ہیں.
الَّذِينَ يَحْمِلُونَ الْعَرْشَ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ رَّحْمَةً وَعِلْمًا فَاغْفِرْ لِلَّذِينَ تَابُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا سَبِيلَكَ وَقِهِمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ
English Translation:
Those (angels) who bear the Throne (of Allah) and those around it glorify the praises of their Lord, and believe in Him, and ask forgiveness for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah) (saying): "Our Lord! You comprehend all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who repent and follow Your Way, and save them from the torment of the blazing Fire!
اردو ترجمہ:
عرش کے اٹھانے والے اور اسکے آس پاس کے (فرشتے) اپنے رب کی تسبیح حمد کے ساتھ ساتھ کرتے ہیں اور اس پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور ایمان والوں کے لیے استفغار کرتے ہیں، کہتے ہیں کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار! تو نے ہر چیز کو اپنی بخشش اور علم سے گھیر رکھا ہے، پس تو انہیں بخش دے جو توبہ کریں اور تیری راه کی پیروی کریں اور تو انہیں دوزخ کے عذاب سے بھی بچا لے.
رَبَّنَا وَأَدْخِلْهُمْ جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ الَّتِي وَعَدتَّهُمْ وَمَن صَلَحَ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ وَأَزْوَاجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّاتِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
English Translation:
"Our Lord! And make them enter the 'Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens) which you have promised them, and to the righteous among their fathers, their wives, and their offspring! Verily, You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
اردو ترجمہ:
اے ہمارے رب! تو انہیں ہمیشگی والی جنتوں میں لے جا جن کا تو نے ان سے وعده کیا ہے اور ان کے باپ دادوں اور بیویوں اور اولاد میں سے (بھی) ان (سب) کو جو نیک عمل ہیں ۔ یقیناً تو تو غالب و باحکمت ہے.
وَقِهِمُ السَّيِّئَاتِ ۚ وَمَن تَقِ السَّيِّئَاتِ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمْتَهُ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
English Translation:
"And save them from (the punishment, because of what they did of) the sins, and whomsoever You save from (the punishment, because of what they did of) the sins (i.e. excuse them) that Day, him verily, You have taken into mercy." And that is the supreme success.
اردو ترجمہ:
انہیں برائیوں سے بھی محفوظ رکھ ، حق تو یہ ہے کہ اس دن تونے جسے برائیوں سے بچا لیا اس پر تو نے رحمت کر دی اور بہت بڑی کامیابی تو یہی ہے.
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُنَادَوْنَ لَمَقْتُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ مِن مَّقْتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ إِذْ تُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى الْإِيمَانِ فَتَكْفُرُونَ
English Translation:
Those who disbelieve will be addressed (at the time of entering into the Fire): "Allah's aversion was greater towards you (in the worldly life when you used to reject the Faith) than your aversion towards one another (now in the Fire of Hell, as you are now enemies to one another), when you were called to the Faith but you used to refuse."
اردو ترجمہ:
بےشک جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا انہیں یہ آواز دی جائے گی کہ یقیناً اللہ کا تم پر غصہ ہونااس سے بہت زیاده ہے جو تم غصہ ہوتے تھے اپنے جی سے، جب تم ایمان کی طرف بلائے جاتے تھے پھر کفر کرنے لگتے تھے.
قَالُوا رَبَّنَا أَمَتَّنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ وَأَحْيَيْتَنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ فَاعْتَرَفْنَا بِذُنُوبِنَا فَهَلْ إِلَىٰ خُرُوجٍ مِّن سَبِيلٍ
English Translation:
They will say: "Our Lord! You have made us to die twice (i.e. we were dead in the loins of our fathers and dead after our deaths in this world), and You have given us life twice (i.e. life when we were born and life when we are Resurrected)! Now we confess our sins, then is there any way to get out (of the Fire)?"
اردو ترجمہ:
وه کہیں گے اے ہمارے پروردگار! تو نے ہمیں دوبار مارا اور دو بار ہی جلایا ، اب ہم اپنے گناہوں کے اقراری ہیں، تو کیا اب کوئی راه نکلنے کی بھی ہے؟
ذَٰلِكُم بِأَنَّهُ إِذَا دُعِيَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ كَفَرْتُمْ ۖ وَإِن يُشْرَكْ بِهِ تُؤْمِنُوا ۚ فَالْحُكْمُ لِلَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْكَبِيرِ
English Translation:
(It will be said): "This is because, when Allah Alone was invoked (in worship, etc.) you disbelieved, but when partners were joined to Him, you believed! So the judgement is only with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great!"
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ (عذاب) تمہیں اس لیے ہے کہ جب صرف اکیلے اللہ کا ذکر کیا جاتا تو تم انکار کر جاتے تھے اور اگر اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک کیا جاتا تھا تو تم مان لیتے تھے پس اب فیصلہ اللہ بلند و بزرگ ہی کا ہے.
هُوَ الَّذِي يُرِيكُمْ آيَاتِهِ وَيُنَزِّلُ لَكُم مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ رِزْقًا ۚ وَمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ إِلَّا مَن يُنِيبُ
English Translation:
It is He, Who shows you His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and sends down (rain with which grows) provision for you from the sky. And none remembers but those who turn (to Allah) in obedience and in repentance (by begging His Pardon and by worshipping and obeying Him Alone and none else).
اردو ترجمہ:
وہی ہے جو تمہیں اپنی نشانیاں دکھلاتا ہے اور تمہارے لیےآسمان سے روزی اتارتا ہے ، نصیحت تو صرف وہی حاصل کرتے ہیں جو (اللہ کی طرف) رجوع کرتے ہیں.
فَادْعُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ
English Translation:
So, call you (O Muhammad SAW and the believers) upon (or invoke) Allah making (your) worship pure for Him (Alone) (by worshipping none but Him and by doing religious deeds sincerely for Allah's sake only and not to show-off and not to set up rivals with Him in worship). However much the disbelievers (in the Oneness of Allah) may hate (it).
اردو ترجمہ:
تم اللہ کو پکارتے رہو اس کے لیے دین کو خالص کر کے گو کافر برا مانیں.
رَفِيعُ الدَّرَجَاتِ ذُو الْعَرْشِ يُلْقِي الرُّوحَ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ لِيُنذِرَ يَوْمَ التَّلَاقِ
English Translation:
(He is Allah) Owner of High Ranks and Degrees, the Owner of the Throne. He sends the Inspiration by His Command to any of His slaves He wills, that he (the person who receives inspiration) may warn (men) of the Day of Mutual Meeting (i.e. The Day of Resurrection).
اردو ترجمہ:
بلند درجوں والا عرش کامالک وه اپنے بندوں میں سے جس پر چاہتا ہے وحی نازل فرماتا ہے ، تاکہ وه ملاقات کے دن سے ڈرائے.
يَوْمَ هُم بَارِزُونَ ۖ لَا يَخْفَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْهُمْ شَيْءٌ ۚ لِّمَنِ الْمُلْكُ الْيَوْمَ ۖ لِلَّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْقَهَّارِ
English Translation:
The Day when they will (all) come out, nothing of them will be hidden from Allah. Whose is the kingdom this Day? (Allah Himself will reply to His Question): It is Allah's the One, the Irresistible!
اردو ترجمہ:
جس دن سب لوگ ظاہر ہو جائیں گے ، ان کی کوئی چیز اللہ سے پوشیده نہ رہے گی۔ آج کس کی بادشاہی ہے؟ فقط اللہ واحد و قہار کی.
الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ ۚ لَا ظُلْمَ الْيَوْمَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ
English Translation:
This Day shall every person be recompensed for what he earned. No injustice (shall be done to anybody). Truly, Allah is Swift in reckoning.
اردو ترجمہ:
آج ہر نفس کو اس کی کمائی کا بدلہ دیا جائے گا۔ آج (کسی قسم کا) ظلم نہیں، یقیناً اللہ تعالیٰ بہت جلد حساب کرنے والا ہے.
وَأَنذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْآزِفَةِ إِذِ الْقُلُوبُ لَدَى الْحَنَاجِرِ كَاظِمِينَ ۚ مَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ حَمِيمٍ وَلَا شَفِيعٍ يُطَاعُ
English Translation:
And warn them (O Muhammad SAW) of the Day that is drawing near (i.e. the Day of Resurrection), when the hearts will be choking the throats, and they can neither return them (hearts) to their chests nor can they throw them out. There will be no friend, nor an intercessor for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.), who could be given heed to.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور انہیں بہت ہی قریب آنے والی (قیامت سے) آگاه کر دیجئے، جب کہ دل حلق تک پہنچ جائیں گے اور سب خاموش ہوں گے، ظالموں کا نہ کوئی دلی دوست ہوگا نہ سفارشی، کہ جس کی بات مانی جائے گی.
يَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الْأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِي الصُّدُورُ
English Translation:
Allah knows the fraud of the eyes, and all that the breasts conceal.
اردو ترجمہ:
وه آنکھوں کی خیانت کو اور سینوں کی پوشیده باتوں کو (خوب) جانتا ہے.
وَاللَّهُ يَقْضِي بِالْحَقِّ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ لَا يَقْضُونَ بِشَيْءٍ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ
English Translation:
And Allah judges with truth, while those to whom they invoke besides Him, cannot judge anything. Certainly, Allah! He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور اللہ تعالیٰ ٹھیک ٹھیک فیصلہ کر دے گا اس کے سوا جنہیں یہ لوگ پکارتے ہیں وه کسی چیز کا بھی فیصلہ نہیں کرسکتے ، بیشک اللہ تعالیٰ خوب سنتا خوب دیکھتا ہے.
۞ أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا هُمْ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَآثَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ مِن وَاقٍ
English Translation:
Have they not travelled in the land and seen what was the end of those who were before them? They were superior to them in strength, and in the traces (which they left) in the land. But Allah seized them with punishment for their sins. And none had they to protect them from Allah.
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا یہ لوگ زمین میں چلے پھرے نہیں کہ دیکھتے کہ جو لوگ ان سے پہلے تھے ان کا نتیجہ کیسا کچھ ہوا؟ وه باعتبار قوت و طاقت کے اور باعتبار زمین میں اپنی یادگاروں کے ان سے بہت زیاده تھے، پس اللہ نے انہیں ان کے گناہوں پر پکڑ لیا اور کوئی نہ ہوا جو انہیں اللہ کے عذاب سے بچا لیتا.
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانَت تَّأْتِيهِمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَكَفَرُوا فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ قَوِيٌّ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
English Translation:
That was because there came to them their Messengers with clear evidences, proofs and signs but they disbelieved (in them). So Allah seized them with punishment. Verily, He is All-Strong, Severe in punishment.
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ اس وجہ سے کہ ان کے پاس ان کے پیغمبر معجزے لے لے کرآتے تھے تو وه انکار کر دیتے تھے ، پس اللہ انہیں پکڑ لیتا تھا۔ یقیناً وه طاقتور اور سخت عذاب والا ہے.
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ
English Translation:
And indeed We sent Musa (Moses) with Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and a manifest authority,
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ہم نے موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) کو اپنی آیتوں اور کھلی دلیلوں کے ساتھ بھیجا.
إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَقَارُونَ فَقَالُوا سَاحِرٌ كَذَّابٌ
English Translation:
To Fir'aun (Pharaoh), Haman and Qarun (Korah), but they called (him): "A sorcerer, a liar!"
اردو ترجمہ:
فرعون ہامان اور قارون کی طرف تو انہوں نے کہا (یہ تو) جادوگر اور جھوٹا ہے.
فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُم بِالْحَقِّ مِنْ عِندِنَا قَالُوا اقْتُلُوا أَبْنَاءَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ وَاسْتَحْيُوا نِسَاءَهُمْ ۚ وَمَا كَيْدُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ
English Translation:
Then, when he brought them the Truth from Us, they said: "Kill the sons of those who believe with him and let their women live", but the plots of disbelievers are nothing but errors!
اردو ترجمہ:
پس جب ان کے پاس (موسیٰ علیہ السلام) ہماری طرف سے (دین) حق کولے کر آئے توانہوں نے کہا کہ اس کے ساتھ جوایمان والے ہیں ان کے لڑکوں کو تو مار ڈالو اور ان کی لڑکیوں کو زنده رکھو اور کافروں کی جو حیلہ سازی ہے وه غلطی میں ہی ہے.
وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ذَرُونِي أَقْتُلْ مُوسَىٰ وَلْيَدْعُ رَبَّهُ ۖ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَن يُبَدِّلَ دِينَكُمْ أَوْ أَن يُظْهِرَ فِي الْأَرْضِ الْفَسَادَ
English Translation:
Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Leave me to kill Musa (Moses), and let him call his Lord (to stop me from killing him)! I fear that he may change your religion, or that he may cause mischief to appear in the land!"
اردو ترجمہ:
اور فرعون نے کہا مجھے چھوڑ دو کہ میں موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) کو مار ڈالوں اور اسے چاہئے کہ اپنے رب کو پکارے، مجھے تو ڈر ہے کہ یہ کہیں تمہارا دین نہ بدل ڈالے یا ملک میں کوئی (بہت بڑا) فساد برپا نہ کردے.
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ إِنِّي عُذْتُ بِرَبِّي وَرَبِّكُم مِّن كُلِّ مُتَكَبِّرٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِيَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ
English Translation:
Musa (Moses) said: "Verily, I seek refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant who believes not in the Day of Reckoning!"
اردو ترجمہ:
موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) نے کہا میں اپنے اور تمہارے رب کی پناه میں آتا ہوں ہر اس تکبر کرنے والے شخص (کی برائی) سے جو روز حساب پر ایمان نہیں رکھتا.
وَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مُّؤْمِنٌ مِّنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَكْتُمُ إِيمَانَهُ أَتَقْتُلُونَ رَجُلًا أَن يَقُولَ رَبِّيَ اللَّهُ وَقَدْ جَاءَكُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ وَإِن يَكُ كَاذِبًا فَعَلَيْهِ كَذِبُهُ ۖ وَإِن يَكُ صَادِقًا يُصِبْكُم بَعْضُ الَّذِي يَعِدُكُمْ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ كَذَّابٌ
English Translation:
And a believing man of Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) family, who hid his faith said: "Would you kill a man because he says: My Lord is Allah, and he has come to you with clear signs (proofs) from your Lord? And if he is a liar, upon him will be (the sin of) his lie; but if he is telling the truth, then some of that (calamity) wherewith he threatens you will befall on you." Verily, Allah guides not one who is a Musrif (a polytheist, or a murderer who shed blood without a right, or those who commit great sins, oppressor, transgressor), a liar!
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ایک مومن شخص نے، جو فرعون کے خاندان میں سے تھا اور اپنا ایمان چھپائے ہوئے تھا، کہا کہ کیا تم ایک شحض کو محض اس بات پر قتل کرتے ہو کہ وه کہتا ہے میرا رب اللہ ہے اور تمہارے رب کی طرف سے دلیلیں لے کر آیا ہے ، اگر وه جھوٹا ہو تو اس کا جھوٹ اسی پر ہے اور اگر وه سچا ہو، تو جس (عذاب) کا وه تم سے وعده کر رہا ہے اس میں سے کچھ نہ کچھ تو تم پر آ پڑے گا، اللہ تعالیٰ اس کی رہبری نہیں کرتا جو حد سے گزر جانے والے اور جھوٹے ہیں.
يَا قَوْمِ لَكُمُ الْمُلْكُ الْيَوْمَ ظَاهِرِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَمَن يَنصُرُنَا مِن بَأْسِ اللَّهِ إِن جَاءَنَا ۚ قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ مَا أُرِيكُمْ إِلَّا مَا أَرَىٰ وَمَا أَهْدِيكُمْ إِلَّا سَبِيلَ الرَّشَادِ
English Translation:
"O my people! Yours is the kingdom this day, you are uppermost in the land. But who will save us from the Torment of Allah, should it befall us?" Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "I show you only that which I see (correct), and I guide you only to the path of right policy!"
اردو ترجمہ:
اے میری قوم کے لوگو! آج تو بادشاہت تمہاری ہے کہ اس زمین پر تم غالب ہو لیکن اگر اللہ کا عذاب ہم پر آ گیا تو کون ہماری مدد کرے گا؟ فرعون بولا، میں تو تمہیں وہی رائے دے رہا ہوں جو خود دیکھ رہا ہوں اور میں تو تمہیں بھلائی کی راه ہی بتلا رہا ہوں.
وَقَالَ الَّذِي آمَنَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُم مِّثْلَ يَوْمِ الْأَحْزَابِ
English Translation:
And he who believed said: "O my people! Verily, I fear for you a fate like that day (of disaster) of the Confederates (of old)!
اردو ترجمہ:
اس مومن نے کہا اے میری قوم! (کے لوگو) مجھے تو اندیشہ ہے کہ تم پر بھی ویسا ہی روز (بد عذاب) نہ آئے جو اور امتوں پر آیا.
مِثْلَ دَأْبِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَالَّذِينَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ ۚ وَمَا اللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًا لِّلْعِبَادِ
English Translation:
"Like the fate of the people of Nuh (Noah), and 'Ad, and Thamud and those who came after them. And Allah wills no injustice for (His) slaves.
اردو ترجمہ:
جیسے امت نو ح اور عاد وﺛمود اور ان کے بعد والوں کا (حال ہوا) ، اللہ اپنے بندوں پر کسی طرح کا ظلم کرنا نہیں چاہتا.
وَيَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَوْمَ التَّنَادِ
English Translation:
"And, O my people! Verily! I fear for you the Day when there will be mutual calling (between the people of Hell and of Paradise)."
اردو ترجمہ:
اور مجھے تم پر ہانک پکار کے دن کابھی ڈر ہے.
يَوْمَ تُوَلُّونَ مُدْبِرِينَ مَا لَكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ عَاصِمٍ ۗ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ هَادٍ
English Translation:
A Day when you will turn your backs and flee having no protector from Allah, And whomsoever Allah sends astray, for him there is no guide.
اردو ترجمہ:
جس دن تم پیٹھ پھیر کر لوٹو گے ، تمہیں اللہ سے بچانے والا کوئی نہ ہوگا اور جسے اللہ گمراه کر دے اس کا ہادی کوئی نہیں.
وَلَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ يُوسُفُ مِن قَبْلُ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا زِلْتُمْ فِي شَكٍّ مِّمَّا جَاءَكُم بِهِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا هَلَكَ قُلْتُمْ لَن يَبْعَثَ اللَّهُ مِن بَعْدِهِ رَسُولًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ مُّرْتَابٌ
English Translation:
And indeed Yusuf (Joseph) did come to you, in times gone by, with clear signs, but you ceased not to doubt in that which he did bring to you, till when he died you said: "No Messenger will Allah send after him." Thus Allah leaves astray him who is a Musrif (a polytheist, oppressor, a criminal, sinner who commit great sins) and a Murtab (one who doubts Allah's Warning and His Oneness).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور اس سے پہلے تمہارے پاس (حضرت) یوسف دلیلیں لے کر آئے ، پھر بھی تم ان کی لائی ہوئی (دلیل) میں شک و شبہ ہی کرتے رہے یہاں تک کہ جب ان کی وفات ہو گئی تو کہنے لگے ان کے بعد تو اللہ کسی رسول کو بھیجے گا ہی نہیں اسی طرح اللہ گمراه کرتا ہے ہر اس شخص کو جو حد سے بڑھ جانے والا شک و شبہ کرنے والا ہو.
الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطَانٍ أَتَاهُمْ ۖ كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِندَ اللَّهِ وَعِندَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ قَلْبِ مُتَكَبِّرٍ جَبَّارٍ
English Translation:
Those who dispute about the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, without any authority that has come to them, it is greatly hateful and disgusting to Allah and to those who believe. Thus does Allah seal up the heart of every arrogant, tyrant. (So they cannot guide themselves to the Right Path).
اردو ترجمہ:
جو بغیر کسی سند کے جو ان کے پاس آئی ہو اللہ کی آیتوں میں جھگڑتے ہیں ، اللہ کے نزدیک اور مومنوں کے نزدیک یہ تو بہت بڑی ناراضگی کی چیز ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ اسی طرح ہر ایک مغرور سرکش کے دل پر مہر کردیتا ہے.
وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَا هَامَانُ ابْنِ لِي صَرْحًا لَّعَلِّي أَبْلُغُ الْأَسْبَابَ
English Translation:
And Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "O Haman! Build me a tower that I may arrive at the ways,
اردو ترجمہ:
فرعون نے کہا اے ہامان! میرے لیے ایک بالاخانہ بنا شاید کہ میں آسمان کے جو دروازے ہیں.
أَسْبَابَ السَّمَاوَاتِ فَأَطَّلِعَ إِلَىٰ إِلَـٰهِ مُوسَىٰ وَإِنِّي لَأَظُنُّهُ كَاذِبًا ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِفِرْعَوْنَ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ وَصُدَّ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ ۚ وَمَا كَيْدُ فِرْعَوْنَ إِلَّا فِي تَبَابٍ
English Translation:
"The ways of the heavens, and I may look upon the Ilah (God) of Musa (Moses) but verily, I think him to be a liar." Thus it was made fair-seeming, in Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) eyes, the evil of his deeds, and he was hindered from the (Right) Path, and the plot of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) led to nothing but loss and destruction (for him).
اردو ترجمہ:
(ان) دروازوں تک پہنچ جاؤں اور موسیٰ کے معبود کو جھانک لوں اور بیشک میں سمجھتا ہوں وه جھوٹا ہے اور اسی طرح فرعون کی بدکرداریاں اسے بھلی دکھائی گئیں اور راه سے روک دیا گیا اور فرعون کی (ہر) حیلہ سازی تباہی میں ہی رہی.
وَقَالَ الَّذِي آمَنَ يَا قَوْمِ اتَّبِعُونِ أَهْدِكُمْ سَبِيلَ الرَّشَادِ
English Translation:
And the man who believed said: "O my people! Follow me, I will guide you to the way of right conduct [i.e. guide you to Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism with which Musa (Moses) has been sent].
اردو ترجمہ:
اور اس مومن شخص نے کہا کہ اے میری قوم! (کے لوگو) تم (سب) میری پیروی کرو میں نیک راه کی طرف تمہاری رہبری کروں گا.
يَا قَوْمِ إِنَّمَا هَـٰذِهِ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا مَتَاعٌ وَإِنَّ الْآخِرَةَ هِيَ دَارُ الْقَرَارِ
English Translation:
"O my people! Truly, this life of the world is nothing but a (quick passing) enjoyment, and verily, the Hereafter that is the home that will remain forever."
اردو ترجمہ:
اے میری قوم! یہ حیات دنیا متاع فانی ہے ، (یقین مانو کہ قرار) اور ہمیشگی کا گھر تو آخرت ہی ہے.
مَنْ عَمِلَ سَيِّئَةً فَلَا يُجْزَىٰ إِلَّا مِثْلَهَا ۖ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُولَـٰئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ يُرْزَقُونَ فِيهَا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ
English Translation:
"Whosoever does an evil deed, will not be requited except the like thereof, and whosoever does a righteous deed, whether male or female and is a true believer (in the Oneness of Allah), such will enter Paradise, where they will be provided therein (with all things in abundance) without limit.
اردو ترجمہ:
جس نے گناه کیا ہے اسے تو برابر برابر کا بدلہ ہی ہے اور جس نے نیکی کی ہے خواه وه مرد ہو یا عورت اور وه ایمان والا ہو تو یہ لوگ جنت میں جائیں گے اور وہاں بےشمار روزی پائیں گے.
۞ وَيَا قَوْمِ مَا لِي أَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَى النَّجَاةِ وَتَدْعُونَنِي إِلَى النَّارِ
English Translation:
"And O my people! How is it that I call you to salvation while you call me to the Fire!
اردو ترجمہ:
اے میری قوم! یہ کیا بات ہے کہ میں تمہیں نجات کی طرف بلا رہا ہوں اور تم مجھے دوزخ کی طرف بلا رہے ہو.
تَدْعُونَنِي لِأَكْفُرَ بِاللَّهِ وَأُشْرِكَ بِهِ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِهِ عِلْمٌ وَأَنَا أَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَى الْعَزِيزِ الْغَفَّارِ
English Translation:
"You invite me to disbelieve in Allah (and in His Oneness), and to join partners in worship with Him; of which I have no knowledge, and I invite you to the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving!
اردو ترجمہ:
تم مجھے یہ دعوت دے رہے ہوکہ میں اللہ کے ساتھ کفر کروں اور اس کے ساتھ شرک کروں جس کا کوئی علم مجھے نہیں اور میں تمہیں غالب بخشنے والے (معبود) کی طرف دعوت دے رہا ہوں.
لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّمَا تَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ لَيْسَ لَهُ دَعْوَةٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ مَرَدَّنَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَأَنَّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ هُمْ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ
English Translation:
"No doubt you call me to (worship) one who cannot grant (me) my request (or respond to my invocation) in this world or in the Hereafter. And our return will be to Allah, and Al-Musrifun (i.e. polytheists and arrogants, those who commit great sins, the transgressors of Allah's set limits)! They shall be the dwellers of the Fire!
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ یقینی امر ہے کہ تم مجھے جس کی طرف بلا رہے ہو وه تو نہ دنیا میں پکارے جانے کے قابل ہے نہ آخرت میں، اور یہ (بھی یقینی بات ہے) کہ ہم سب کا لوٹنا اللہ کی طرف ہے اور حد سے گزر جانے والے ہی (یقیناً) اہل دوزخ ہیں.
فَسَتَذْكُرُونَ مَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ ۚ وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ
English Translation:
"And you will remember what I am telling you, and my affair I leave it to Allah. Verily, Allah is the All-Seer of (His) slaves."
اردو ترجمہ:
پس آگے چل کر تم میری باتوں کو یاد کرو گے میں اپنا معاملہ اللہ کے سپرد کرتا ہوں، یقیناً اللہ تعالیٰ بندوں کا نگراں ہے.
فَوَقَاهُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِ مَا مَكَرُوا ۖ وَحَاقَ بِآلِ فِرْعَوْنَ سُوءُ الْعَذَابِ
English Translation:
So Allah saved him from the evils that they plotted (against him), while an evil torment encompassed Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) people.
اردو ترجمہ:
پس اسے اللہ تعالیٰ نے تمام بدیوں سے محفوظ رکھ لیا جو انہوں نے سوچ رکھی تھیں اور فرعون والوں پر بری طرح کا عذاب الٹ پڑا.
النَّارُ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيْهَا غُدُوًّا وَعَشِيًّا ۖ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ أَدْخِلُوا آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ أَشَدَّ الْعَذَابِ
English Translation:
The Fire; they are exposed to it, morning and afternoon, and on the Day when the Hour will be established (it will be said to the angels): "Cause Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) people to enter the severest torment!"
اردو ترجمہ:
آگ ہے جس کے سامنے یہ ہر صبح شام لائے جاتے ہیں اور جس دن قیامت قائم ہوگی (فرمان ہوگا کہ) فرعونیوں کو سخت ترین عذاب میں ڈالو.
وَإِذْ يَتَحَاجُّونَ فِي النَّارِ فَيَقُولُ الضُّعَفَاءُ لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًا فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّغْنُونَ عَنَّا نَصِيبًا مِّنَ النَّارِ
English Translation:
And, when they will dispute in the Fire, the weak will say to those who were arrogant; "Verily! We followed you, can you then take from us some portion of the Fire?"
اردو ترجمہ:
اور جب کہ دوزخ میں ایک دوسرے سے جھگڑیں گے تو کمزور لوگ تکبر والوں سے (جن کے یہ تابع تھے) کہیں گے کہ ہم تو تمہارے پیرو تھے تو کیا اب تم ہم سے اس آگ کا کوئی حصہ ہٹا سکتے ہو؟
قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا إِنَّا كُلٌّ فِيهَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ حَكَمَ بَيْنَ الْعِبَادِ
English Translation:
Those who were arrogant will say: "We are all (together) in this (Fire)! Verily Allah has judged between (His) slaves!"
اردو ترجمہ:
وه بڑے لوگ جواب دیں گے ہم تو سبھی اس آگ میں ہیں، اللہ تعالیٰ اپنے بندوں کے درمیان فیصلے کر چکا ہے.
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ فِي النَّارِ لِخَزَنَةِ جَهَنَّمَ ادْعُوا رَبَّكُمْ يُخَفِّفْ عَنَّا يَوْمًا مِّنَ الْعَذَابِ
English Translation:
And those in the Fire will say to the keepers (angels) of Hell: "Call upon your Lord to lighten for us the torment for a day!"
اردو ترجمہ:
اور (تمام) جہنمی مل کر جہنم کے داروغوں سے کہیں گے کہ تم ہی اپنے پروردگار سے دعا کرو کہ وه کسی دن تو ہمارے عذاب میں کمی کردے.
قَالُوا أَوَلَمْ تَكُ تَأْتِيكُمْ رُسُلُكُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ۖ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ ۚ قَالُوا فَادْعُوا ۗ وَمَا دُعَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ
English Translation:
They will say: "Did there not come to you, your Messengers with (clear) evidences and signs? They will say: "Yes." They will reply: "Then call (as you like)! And the invocation of the disbelievers is nothing but in error!"
اردو ترجمہ:
وه جواب دیں گے کہ کیا تمہارے پاس تمہارے رسول معجزے لے کر نہیں آئے تھے؟ وه کہیں گے کیوں نہیں، وه کہیں گے کہ پھر تم ہی دعا کرو اور کافروں کی دعا محض بے اﺛر اور بےراه ہے.
إِنَّا لَنَنصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْأَشْهَادُ
English Translation:
Verily, We will indeed make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) in this world's life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand forth, (i.e. Day of Resurrection),
اردو ترجمہ:
یقیناً ہم اپنے رسولوں کی اور ایمان والوں کی مدد زندگانیٴ دنیا میں بھی کریں گے اور اس دن بھی جب گواہی دینے والے کھڑے ہوں گے.
يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ الظَّالِمِينَ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ ۖ وَلَهُمُ اللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوءُ الدَّارِ
English Translation:
The Day when their excuses will be of no profit to Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah). Theirs will be the curse, and theirs will be the evil abode (i.e. painful torment in Hell-fire).
اردو ترجمہ:
جس دن ظالموں کو ان کی (عذر) معذرت کچھ نفع نہ دے گی ان کے لیے لعنت ہی ہوگی اور ان کے لیے برا گھر ہو گا.
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْهُدَىٰ وَأَوْرَثْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْكِتَابَ
English Translation:
And, indeed We gave Musa (Moses) the guidance, and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit the Scripture [i.e. the Taurat (Torah)],
اردو ترجمہ:
ہم نے موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) کو ہدایت نامہ عطا فرمایا اور بنو اسرائیل کو اس کتاب کا وارث بنایا.
هُدًى وَذِكْرَىٰ لِأُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ
English Translation:
A guide and a reminder for men of understanding.
اردو ترجمہ:
کہ وه ہدایت و نصیحت تھی عقل مندوں کے لیے.
فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنبِكَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْإِبْكَارِ
English Translation:
So be patient (O Muhammad SAW). Verily, the Promise of Allah is true, and ask forgiveness for your fault, and glorify the praises of your Lord in the Ashi (i.e. the time period after the midnoon till sunset) and in the Ibkar (i.e. the time period from early morning or sunrise till before midnoon) [it is said that, that means the five compulsory congregational Salat (prayers) or the 'Asr and Fajr prayers].
اردو ترجمہ:
پس اے نبی! تو صبر کر اللہ کا وعده بلاشک (وشبہ) سچا ہی ہے تو اپنے گناه کی معافی مانگتا ره اور صبح شام اپنے پروردگار کی تسبیح اور حمد بیان کرتا ره.
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطَانٍ أَتَاهُمْ ۙ إِن فِي صُدُورِهِمْ إِلَّا كِبْرٌ مَّا هُم بِبَالِغِيهِ ۚ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ
English Translation:
Verily, those who dispute about the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, without any authority having come to them, there is nothing else in their breasts except pride [to accept you (Muhammad SAW) as a Messenger of Allah and to obey you]. They will never have it (i.e. Prophethood which Allah has bestowed upon you). So seek refuge in Allah (O Muhammad SAW from the arrogants). Verily, it is He Who is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.
اردو ترجمہ:
جو لوگ باوجود اپنے پاس کسی سند کے نہ ہونے کے آیات الٰہی میں جھگڑا کرتے ہیں ان کے دلوں میں بجز نری بڑائی کے اور کچھ نہیں وه اس تک پہنچنے والے ہی نہیں ، سو تو اللہ کی پناه مانگتا ره بیشک وه پورا سننے والا اور سب سے زیاده دیکھنے والا ہے.
لَخَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ خَلْقِ النَّاسِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
English Translation:
The creation of the heavens and the earth is indeed greater than the creation of mankind, yet most of mankind know not.
اردو ترجمہ:
آسمان و زمین کی پیدائش یقیناً انسان کی پیدائش سے بہت بڑا کام ہے، لیکن (یہ اور بات ہے کہ) اکثر لوگ بےعلم ہیں.
وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَىٰ وَالْبَصِيرُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَلَا الْمُسِيءُ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
English Translation:
And not equal are the blind and those who see, nor are (equal) those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous good deeds, and those who do evil. Little do you remember!
اردو ترجمہ:
اندھا اور بینا برابر نہیں نہ وه لوگ جو ایمان لائے اور بھلے کام کیے بدکاروں کے (برابر ہیں) ، تم (بہت) کم نصیحت حاصل کر رہے ہو.
إِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَآتِيَةٌ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
English Translation:
Verily, the Hour (Day of Judgement) is surely coming, therein is no doubt, yet most men believe not.
اردو ترجمہ:
قیامت بالیقین اور بےشبہ آنے والی ہے، لیکن (یہ اور بات ہے کہ) بہت سے لوگ ایمان نہیں لاتے.
وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ
English Translation:
And your Lord said: "Invoke Me, [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation). Verily! Those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness, (Islamic Monotheism)] they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!"
اردو ترجمہ:
اور تمہارے رب کا فرمان (سرزد ہوچکا ہے) کہ مجھ سے دعا کرو میں تمہاری دعاؤں کو قبول کروں گا یقین مانو کہ جو لوگ میری عبادت سے خودسری کرتے ہیں وه عنقريب ذلیل ہوکر جہنم میں پہنچ جائیں گے.
اللَّهُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُوا فِيهِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ
English Translation:
Allah, it is He Who has made the night for you that you may rest therein and the day for you to see. Truly, Allah is full of Bounty to mankind, yet most of mankind give no thanks.
اردو ترجمہ:
اللہ تعالیٰ نے تمھارے لیے رات بنادی کہ تم اس میں آرام حاصل کرو اور دن کو دیکھنے والا بنا دیا، بیشک اللہ تعالیٰ لوگوں پر فضل وکرم والا ہے لیکن اکثر لوگ شکر گزاری نہیں کرتے.
ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ لَّا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ
English Translation:
That is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), where then you are turning away (from Allah, by worshipping others instead of Him)!
اردو ترجمہ:
یہی اللہ ہے تم سب کا رب ہر چیز کا خالق اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں پھر کہاں تم پھرے جاتے ہو.
كَذَٰلِكَ يُؤْفَكُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ
English Translation:
Thus were turned away those who used to deny the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah.
اردو ترجمہ:
اسی طرح وه لوگ بھی پھیرے جاتے رہے جو اللہ کی آیتوں کا انکار کرتے تھے.
اللَّهُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ قَرَارًا وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ ۖ فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ
English Translation:
Allah, it is He Who has made for you the earth as a dwelling place and the sky as a canopy, and has given you shape and made your shapes good (looking) and has provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord, then blessed be Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).
اردو ترجمہ:
اللہ ہی ہے جس نے تمہارے لیے زمین کو ٹھہرنے کی جگہ اور آسمان کو چھت بنا دیا اور تمہاری صورتیں بنائیں اور بہت اچھی بنائیں اور تمہیں عمده عمده چیزیں کھانے کو عطا فرمائیں، یہی اللہ تمہارا پروردگار ہے، پس بہت ہی برکتوں والا اللہ ہے سارے جہان کا پرورش کرنے والا.
هُوَ الْحَيُّ لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَادْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ ۗ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
English Translation:
He is the Ever Living, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), so invoke Him making your worship pure for Him Alone (by worshipping Him Alone, and none else, and by doing righteous deeds sincerely for Allah's sake only, and not to show off, and not to set up rivals with Him in worship). All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).
اردو ترجمہ:
وه زنده ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں پس تم خالص اس کی عبادت کرتے ہوئے اسے پکارو ، تمام خوبیاں اللہ ہی کے لیے ہیں جو تمام جہانوں کا رب ہے.
۞ قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ لَمَّا جَاءَنِيَ الْبَيِّنَاتُ مِن رَّبِّي وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
English Translation:
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I have been forbidden to worship those whom you worship besides Allah, since there have come to me evidences from my Lord, and I am commanded to submit (in Islam) to the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).
اردو ترجمہ:
آپ کہہ دیجئے! کہ مجھے ان کی عبادت سے روک دیا گیا ہے جنہیں تم اللہ کے سوا پکار رہے ہو اس بنا پر کہ میرے پاس میرے رب کی دلیلیں پہنچ چکی ہیں، مجھے یہ حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں تمام جہانوں کے رب کا تابع فرمان ہو جاؤں.
هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوا أَشُدَّكُمْ ثُمَّ لِتَكُونُوا شُيُوخًا ۚ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ مِن قَبْلُ ۖ وَلِتَبْلُغُوا أَجَلًا مُّسَمًّى وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
English Translation:
He, it is Who has created you (Adam) from dust, then from a Nutfah [mixed semen drops of male and female discharge (i.e. Adam's offspring)] then from a clot (a piece of coagulated blood), then brings you forth as children, then (makes you grow) to reach the age of full strength, and afterwards to be old (men and women), though some among you die before, and that you reach an appointed term, in order that you may understand.
اردو ترجمہ:
وه وہی ہے جس نے تمہیں مٹی سے پھر نطفے سے پھر خون کے لوتھڑے سے پیدا کیا پھر تمہیں بچہ کی صورت میں نکالتا ہے، پھر (تمہیں بڑھاتا ہے کہ) تم اپنی پوری قوت کو پہنچ جاؤ پھر بوڑھے ہو جاؤ، تم میں سے بعض اس سے پہلے ہی فوت ہو جاتے ہیں، (وه تمہیں چھوڑ دیتا ہے) تاکہ تم مدت معین تک پہنچ جاؤ اور تاکہ تم سوچ سمجھ لو.
هُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ فَإِذَا قَضَىٰ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ
English Translation:
He it is Who gives life and causes death. And when He decides upon a thing He says to it only: "Be!" and it is.
اردو ترجمہ:
وہی ہے جو جلاتا ہے اور مار ڈالتا ہے ، پھر جب وه کسی کام کا کرنا مقرر کرتا ہے تو اسے صرف یہ کہتا ہے کہ ہو جا پس وه ہو جاتا ہے.
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ أَنَّىٰ يُصْرَفُونَ
English Translation:
See you not those who dispute about the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah? How are they turning away (from the truth, i.e. Islamic Monotheism to the falsehood of polytheism)?
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا تو نے انہیں دیکھا جو اللہ کی آیتوں میں جھگڑتے ہیں ، وه کہاں پھیر دیے جاتے ہیں.
الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِالْكِتَابِ وَبِمَا أَرْسَلْنَا بِهِ رُسُلَنَا ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
English Translation:
Those who deny the Book (this Quran), and that with which We sent Our Messengers (i.e. to worship none but Allah Alone sincerely, and to reject all false deities and to confess resurrection after the death for recompense) they will come to know (when they will be cast into the Fire of Hell).
اردو ترجمہ:
جن لوگوں نے کتاب کو جھٹلایا اور اسے بھی جو ہم نے اپنے رسولوں کے ساتھ بھیجا انہیں ابھی ابھی حقیقت حال معلوم ہو جائے گی.
إِذِ الْأَغْلَالُ فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ وَالسَّلَاسِلُ يُسْحَبُونَ
English Translation:
When iron collars will be rounded over their necks, and the chains, they shall be dragged along.
اردو ترجمہ:
جب کہ ان کی گردنوں میں طوق ہوں گے اور زنجیریں ہوں گی گھسیٹے جائیں گے.
فِي الْحَمِيمِ ثُمَّ فِي النَّارِ يُسْجَرُونَ
English Translation:
In the boiling water, then they will be burned in the Fire.
اردو ترجمہ:
کھولتے ہوئے پانی میں اور پھر جہنم کی آگ میں جلائے جائیں گے.
ثُمَّ قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ
English Translation:
Then it will be said to them: "Where are (all) those whom you used to join in worship as partners
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر ان سے پوچھا جائے گا کہ جنہیں تم شریک کرتے تھے وه کہاں ہیں.
مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ قَالُوا ضَلُّوا عَنَّا بَل لَّمْ نَكُن نَّدْعُو مِن قَبْلُ شَيْئًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ الْكَافِرِينَ
English Translation:
"Besides Allah" They will say: "They have vanished from us: Nay, we did not invoke (worship) anything before." Thus Allah leads astray the disbelievers.
اردو ترجمہ:
جو اللہ کے سوا تھے وه کہیں گے کہ وه تو ہم سے بہک گئے بلکہ ہم تو اس سے پہلے کسی کو بھی پکارتے ہی نہ تھے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ کافروں کو اسی طرح گمراه کرتا ہے.
ذَٰلِكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَمْرَحُونَ
English Translation:
That was because you had been exulting in the earth without any right (by worshipping others instead of Allah and by committing crimes), and that you used to rejoice extremely (in your error).
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ بدلہ ہے اس چیز کا جو تم زمین میں ناحق پھولے نہ سماتے تھے۔ اور (بےجا) اتراتے پھرتے تھے.
ادْخُلُوا أَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ
English Translation:
Enter the gates of Hell to abide therein, and (indeed) what an evil abode of the arrogant!
اردو ترجمہ:
(اب آؤ) جہنم میں ہمیشہ رہنے کے لیے (اس کے) دروازوں میں داخل ہو جاؤ، کیا ہی بری جگہ ہے تکبر کرنے والے کی.
فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۚ فَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ
English Translation:
So be patient (O Muhammad SAW), verily, the Promise of Allah is true, and whether We show you (O Muhammad SAW in this world) some part of what We have promised them, or We cause you to die, then it is to Us they all shall be returned.
اردو ترجمہ:
پس آپ صبر کریں اللہ کا وعده قطعاً سچا ہے ، انہیں ہم نے جو وعدے دے رکھے ہیں ان میں سے کچھ ہم آپ کو دکھائیں یا (اس سے پہلے) ہم آپ کو وفات دے دیں، ان کا لوٹایا جانا تو ہماری ہی طرف ہے.
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلًا مِّن قَبْلِكَ مِنْهُم مَّن قَصَصْنَا عَلَيْكَ وَمِنْهُم مَّن لَّمْ نَقْصُصْ عَلَيْكَ ۗ وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولٍ أَن يَأْتِيَ بِآيَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ قُضِيَ بِالْحَقِّ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ
English Translation:
And, indeed We have sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad SAW); of some of them We have related to you their story and of some We have not related to you their story, and it was not given to any Messenger that he should bring a sign except by the Leave of Allah. So, when comes the Commandment of Allah, the matter will be decided with truth, and the followers of falsehood will then be lost.
اردو ترجمہ:
یقیناً ہم آپ سے پہلے بھی بہت سے رسول بھیج چکے ہیں جن میں سے بعض کے (واقعات) ہم آپ کو بیان کر چکے ہیں اور ان میں سے بعض کے (قصے) تو ہم نے آپ کو بیان ہی نہیں کیے اور کسی رسول کا یہ (مقدور) نہ تھا کہ کوئی معجزه اللہ کی اجازت کے بغیر لا سکے پھر جس وقت اللہ کا حکم آئےگا حق کے ساتھ فیصلہ کر دیا جائے گا اور اس جگہ اہل باطل خسارے میں ره جائیں گے.
اللَّهُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَنْعَامَ لِتَرْكَبُوا مِنْهَا وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ
English Translation:
Allah, it is He Who has made cattle for you, that you may ride on some of them and of some you eat.
اردو ترجمہ:
اللہ وه ہے جس نے تمہارے لیے چوپائے پیدا کیے جن میں سے بعض پر تم سوار ہوتے ہو اور بعض کو تم کھاتے ہو.
وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ وَلِتَبْلُغُوا عَلَيْهَا حَاجَةً فِي صُدُورِكُمْ وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ
English Translation:
And you have (many other) benefits from them, and that you may reach by their means a desire that is in your breasts (i.e. carry your goods, loads, etc.), and on them and on ships you are carried.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور بھی تمہارے لیے ان میں بہت سے نفع ہیں اور تاکہ اپنے سینوں میں چھپی ہوئی حاجتوں کو انہی پر سواری کر کے تم حاصل کر لو اور ان چوپایوں پر اور کشتیوں پر سوار کیے جاتے ہو.
وَيُرِيكُمْ آيَاتِهِ فَأَيَّ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ تُنكِرُونَ
English Translation:
And He shows you His Signs and Proofs (of His Oneness in all the above mentioned things). Which, then of the Signs and Proofs of Allah do you deny?
اردو ترجمہ:
اللہ تمہیں اپنی نشانیاں دکھاتا جارہا ہے ، پس تم اللہ کی کن کن نشانیوں کے منکر بنتے رہو گے.
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ قُوَّةً وَآثَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَمَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
English Translation:
Have they not travelled through the earth and seen what was the end of those before them? They were more numerous than them and mightier in strength, and in the traces (they have left behind them) in the land, yet all that they used to earn availed them not.
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا انہوں نے زمین میں چل پھر کر اپنے سے پہلوں کا انجام نہیں دیکھا ؟ جو ان سے تعداد میں زیاده تھے قوت میں سخت اور زمین میں بہت ساری یادگاریں چھوڑی تھیں، ان کے کیے کاموں نے انہیں کچھ بھی فائده نہیں پہنچایا.
فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرِحُوا بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
English Translation:
Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things): And that at which they used to mock, surrounded them (i.e. the punishment).
اردو ترجمہ:
پس جب بھی ان کے پاس ان کے رسول کھلی نشانیاں لے کر آئے تو یہ اپنے پاس کے علم پر اترانے لگے ، بالﺂخر جس چیز کو مذاق میں اڑا رہے تھے وه ان پر الٹ پڑی.
فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا بَأْسَنَا قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ وَكَفَرْنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِ مُشْرِكِينَ
English Translation:
So when they saw Our punishment, they said: "We believe in Allah Alone and reject (all) that we used to associate with Him as (His) partners.
اردو ترجمہ:
ہمارا عذاب دیکھتے ہی کہنے لگے کہ اللہ واحد پر ہم ایمان لائے اور جن جن کو ہم اس کا شریک بنا رہے تھے ہم نے ان سب سے انکار کیا.
فَلَمْ يَكُ يَنفَعُهُمْ إِيمَانُهُمْ لَمَّا رَأَوْا بَأْسَنَا ۖ سُنَّتَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي قَدْ خَلَتْ فِي عِبَادِهِ ۖ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الْكَافِرُونَ
English Translation:
Then their Faith (in Islamic Monotheism) could not avail them when they saw Our punishment. (Like) this has been the way of Allah in dealing with His slaves. And there the disbelievers lost utterly (when Our Torment covered them).
اردو ترجمہ:
لیکن ہمارے عذاب کو دیکھ لینے کے بعد ان کے ایمان نے انہیں نفع نہ دیا۔ اللہ نے اپنا معمول یہی مقرر کر رکھا ہے جو اس کے بندوں میں برابر چلا آ رہا ہے ۔ اور اس جگہ کافر خراب وخستہ ہوئے.
