As-Saaffaat - الصافات (Surah 37)
182 Verses • Meccan Revelation
وَالصَّافَّاتِ صَفًّا
English Translation:
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows).
اردو ترجمہ:
قسم ہے صف باندھنے والے (فرشتوں) کی.
فَالزَّاجِرَاتِ زَجْرًا
English Translation:
By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way.
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر پوری طرح ڈانٹنے والوں کی.
فَالتَّالِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا
English Translation:
By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir].
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر ذکر اللہ کی تلاوت کرنے والوں کی.
إِنَّ إِلَـٰهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ
English Translation:
Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah);
اردو ترجمہ:
یقیناً تم سب کا معبود ایک ہی ہے.
رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِ
English Translation:
Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah).
اردو ترجمہ:
آسمانوں اور زمین اور ان کے درمیان کی تمام چیزوں اور مَشرقوں کا رب وہی ہے.
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ الْكَوَاكِبِ
English Translation:
Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty).
اردو ترجمہ:
ہم نے آسمان دنیا کو ستاروں کی زینت سے آراستہ کیا.
وَحِفْظًا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَّارِدٍ
English Translation:
And to guard against every rebellious devil.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور حفاظت کی سرکش شیطان سے.
لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى الْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍ
English Translation:
They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side.
اردو ترجمہ:
عالم بالا کے فرشتوں (کی باتوں) کو سننے کے لئے وه کان بھی نہیں لگا سکتے، بلکہ ہر طرف سے وه مارے جاتے ہیں.
دُحُورًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ
English Translation:
Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment.
اردو ترجمہ:
بھگانے کے لئے اور ان کے لئے دائمی عذاب ہے.
إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ
English Translation:
Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness.
اردو ترجمہ:
مگر جو کوئی ایک آدھ بات اچک لے بھاگے تو (فوراً ہی) اس کے پیچھے دہکتا ہوا شعلہ لگ جاتا ہے.
فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَا ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُم مِّن طِينٍ لَّازِبٍ
English Translation:
Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay.
اردو ترجمہ:
ان کافروں سے پوچھو تو کہ آیا ان کا پیدا کرنا زیاده دشوار ہے یا (ان کا) جنہیں ہم نے (ان کے علاوه) پیدا کیا ؟ ہم نے (انسانوں) کو لیس دار مٹی سے پیدا کیا ہے.
بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ
English Translation:
Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran).
اردو ترجمہ:
بلکہ تو تعجب کر رہا ہے اور یہ مسخرا پن کر رہے ہیں.
وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا لَا يَذْكُرُونَ
English Translation:
And when they are reminded, they pay no attention.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور جب انہیں نصیحت کی جاتی ہے یہ نہیں مانتے.
وَإِذَا رَأَوْا آيَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ
English Translation:
And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور جب کسی معجزے کو دیکھتے ہیں تو مذاق اڑاتے ہیں.
وَقَالُوا إِنْ هَـٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ
English Translation:
And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic!
اردو ترجمہ:
اور کہتے ہیں کہ یہ تو بالکل کھلم کھلا جادو ہی ہے.
أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
English Translation:
"When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected?
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا جب ہم مر جائیں گے اور خاک اور ہڈی ہو جائیں گے پھر کیا (سچ مچ) ہم اٹھائے جائیں گے؟
أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ
English Translation:
"And also our fathers of old?"
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا ہم سے پہلے کے ہمارے باپ دادا بھی؟
قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ
English Translation:
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated."
اردو ترجمہ:
آپ جواب دیجئے! کہ ہاں ہاں اور تم ذلیل (بھی) ہوں گے.
فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
English Translation:
It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring!
اردو ترجمہ:
وه تو صرف ایک زور کی جھڑکی ہے کہ یکایک یہ دیکھنے لگیں گے.
وَقَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
English Translation:
They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!"
اردو ترجمہ:
اور کہیں گے کہ ہائے ہماری خرابی یہی جزا (سزا) کا دن ہے.
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
English Translation:
(It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny."
اردو ترجمہ:
یہی فیصلہ کا دن ہے جسے تم جھٹلاتے رہے.
۞ احْشُرُوا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَأَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ
English Translation:
(It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship.
اردو ترجمہ:
ظالموں کو اور ان کے ہمراہیوں کو اور (جن) جن کی وه اللہ کے علاوه پرستش کرتے تھے.
مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ فَاهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطِ الْجَحِيمِ
English Translation:
"Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell);
اردو ترجمہ:
(ان سب کو) جمع کرکے انہیں دوزخ کی راه دکھا دو.
وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسْئُولُونَ
English Translation:
"But stop them, verily they are to be questioned.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور انہیں ٹھہرا لو ، (اس لئے) کہ ان سے (ضروری) سوال کیے جانے والے ہیں.
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ
English Translation:
"What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?"
اردو ترجمہ:
تمہیں کیا ہو گیا ہے کہ (اس وقت) تم ایک دوسرے کی مدد نہیں کرتے.
بَلْ هُمُ الْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ
English Translation:
Nay, but that Day they shall surrender,
اردو ترجمہ:
بلکہ وه (سب کے سب) آج فرمانبردار بن گئے.
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
English Translation:
And they will turn to one another and question one another.
اردو ترجمہ:
وه ایک دوسرے کی طرف متوجہ ہو کر سوال وجواب کرنے لگیں گے.
قَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ الْيَمِينِ
English Translation:
They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]."
اردو ترجمہ:
کہیں گے کہ تم تو ہمارے پاس ہماری دائیں طرف سے آتے تھے.
قَالُوا بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
English Translation:
They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers.
اردو ترجمہ:
وه جواب دیں گے کہ نہیں بلکہ تم ہی ایمان والے نہ تھے.
وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَانٍ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا طَاغِينَ
English Translation:
"And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور کچھ ہمارا زور تو تم پر تھا (ہی) نہیں۔ بلکہ تم (خود) سرکش لوگ تھے.
فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَا ۖ إِنَّا لَذَائِقُونَ
English Translation:
"So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment).
اردو ترجمہ:
اب تو ہم (سب) پر ہمارے رب کی یہ بات ﺛابت ہو چکی کہ ہم (عذاب) چکھنے والے ہیں.
فَأَغْوَيْنَاكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَاوِينَ
English Translation:
"So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray."
اردو ترجمہ:
پس ہم نے تمہیں گمراه کیا ہم تو خود بھی گمراه ہی تھے.
فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
English Translation:
Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment.
اردو ترجمہ:
سو اب آج کے دن تو (سب کے سب) عذاب میں شریک ہیں.
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ
English Translation:
Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.).
اردو ترجمہ:
ہم گناه گاروں کے ساتھ اسی طرح کیا کرتے ہیں.
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
English Translation:
Truly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it).
اردو ترجمہ:
یہ وه (لوگ) ہیں کہ جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو یہ سرکشی کرتے تھے.
وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُو آلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجْنُونٍ
English Translation:
And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet?
اردو ترجمہ:
اور کہتے تھے کہ کیا ہم اپنے معبودوں کو ایک دیوانے شاعر کی بات پر چھوڑ دیں؟
بَلْ جَاءَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
English Translation:
Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism).
اردو ترجمہ:
(نہیں نہیں) بلکہ (نبی) تو حق (سچا دین) لائے ہیں اور سب رسولوں کو سچا جانتے ہیں.
إِنَّكُمْ لَذَائِقُو الْعَذَابِ الْأَلِيمِ
English Translation:
Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment;
اردو ترجمہ:
یقیناً تم دردناک عذاب (کا مزه) چکھنے والے ہو.
وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
English Translation:
And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do (evil deeds, sins, and Allah's disobedience which you used to do in this world);
اردو ترجمہ:
تمہیں اسی کا بدلہ دیا جائے گا جو تم کرتے تھے.
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
English Translation:
Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism).
اردو ترجمہ:
مگر اللہ تعالیٰ کے خالص برگزیده بندے.
أُولَـٰئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَّعْلُومٌ
English Translation:
For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise).
اردو ترجمہ:
انہیں کے لئے مقرره روزی ہے.
فَوَاكِهُ ۖ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ
English Translation:
Fruits; and they shall be honoured,
اردو ترجمہ:
(ہر طرح کے) میوے، اور وه باعزت واکرام ہوں گے.
فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ
English Translation:
In the Gardens of delight (Paradise),
اردو ترجمہ:
نعمتوں والی جنتوں میں.
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَابِلِينَ
English Translation:
Facing one another on thrones,
اردو ترجمہ:
تختوں پر ایک دوسرے کے سامنے (بیٹھے) ہوں گے.
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ
English Translation:
Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine;
اردو ترجمہ:
جاری شراب کے جام کا ان پر دور چل رہا ہوگا.
بَيْضَاءَ لَذَّةٍ لِّلشَّارِبِينَ
English Translation:
White, delicious to the drinkers,
اردو ترجمہ:
جو صاف شفاف اور پینے میں لذیذ ہوگی.
لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ
English Translation:
Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom.
اردو ترجمہ:
نہ اس سے درد سر ہو اور نہ اس کے پینے سے بہکیں.
وَعِندَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ عِينٌ
English Translation:
And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ان کے پاس نیچی نظروں، بڑی بڑی آنکھوں والی (حوریں) ہوں گی.
كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَّكْنُونٌ
English Translation:
(Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved.
اردو ترجمہ:
ایسی جیسے چھپائے ہوئے انڈے.
فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
English Translation:
Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning.
اردو ترجمہ:
(جنتی) ایک دوسرے کی طرف رخ کرکے پوچھیں گے.
قَالَ قَائِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّي كَانَ لِي قَرِينٌ
English Translation:
A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world),
اردو ترجمہ:
ان میں سے ایک کہنے والا کہے گا کہ میرا ایک ساتھی تھا.
يَقُولُ أَإِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُصَدِّقِينَ
English Translation:
Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death).
اردو ترجمہ:
جو (مجھ سے) کہا کرتا تھا کہ کیا تو (قیامت کے آنے کا) یقین کرنے والوں میں سے ہے؟
أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ
English Translation:
"(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?"
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا جب کہ ہم مر کر مٹی اور ہڈی ہو جائیں گے کیا اس وقت ہم جزا دیئے جانے والے ہیں؟
قَالَ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ
English Translation:
(The man) said: "Will you look down?"
اردو ترجمہ:
کہے گا تم چاہتے ہو کہ جھانک کر دیکھ لو؟
فَاطَّلَعَ فَرَآهُ فِي سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ
English Translation:
So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire.
اردو ترجمہ:
جھانکتے ہی اسے بیچوں بیچ جہنم میں (جلتا ہوا) دیکھے گا.
قَالَ تَاللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرْدِينِ
English Translation:
He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me.
اردو ترجمہ:
کہے گا واللہ! قریب تھا کہ تو مجھے (بھی) برباد کر دے.
وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنتُ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ
English Translation:
"Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)."
اردو ترجمہ:
اگر میرے رب کا احسان نہ ہوتا تو میں بھی دوزخ میں حاضر کئے جانے والوں میں ہوتا.
أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ
English Translation:
(Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)?
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا (یہ صحیح ہے) کہ ہم مرنے والے ہی نہیں؟
إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا الْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
English Translation:
"Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)."
اردو ترجمہ:
بجز پہلی ایک موت کے، اور نہ ہم عذاب کیے جانے والے ہیں.
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
English Translation:
Truly, this is the supreme success!
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر تو (ظاہر بات ہے کہ) یہ بڑی کامیابی ہے.
لِمِثْلِ هَـٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ الْعَامِلُونَ
English Translation:
For the like of this let the workers work.
اردو ترجمہ:
ایسی (کامیابی) کے لئے عمل کرنے والوں کو عمل کرنا چاہئے.
أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُّزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّومِ
English Translation:
Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)?
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا یہ مہمانی اچھی ہے یا سینڈھ (زقوم) کا درخت؟
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهَا فِتْنَةً لِّلظَّالِمِينَ
English Translation:
Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.).
اردو ترجمہ:
جسے ہم نے ظالموں کے لئے سخت آزمائش بنا رکھا ہے.
إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِي أَصْلِ الْجَحِيمِ
English Translation:
Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire,
اردو ترجمہ:
بے شک وه درخت جہنم کی جڑ میں سے نکلتا ہے.
طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُ رُءُوسُ الشَّيَاطِينِ
English Translation:
The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils);
اردو ترجمہ:
جس کے خوشے شیطانوں کے سروں جیسے ہوتے ہیں.
فَإِنَّهُمْ لَآكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ
English Translation:
Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith.
اردو ترجمہ:
(جہنمی) اسی درخت سے کھائیں گے اور اسی سے پیٹ بھریں گے.
ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًا مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ
English Translation:
Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqum in their bellies).
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر اس پر گرم جلتے جلتے پانی کی ملونی ہوگی.
ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى الْجَحِيمِ
English Translation:
Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell.
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر ان سب کا لوٹنا جہنم کی (آگ کے ڈھیرکی) طرف ہوگا.
إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا آبَاءَهُمْ ضَالِّينَ
English Translation:
Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path;
اردو ترجمہ:
یقین مانو! کہ انہوں نے اپنے باپ دادا کو بہکا ہوا پایا.
فَهُمْ عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ
English Translation:
So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps!
اردو ترجمہ:
اور یہ انہی کے نشان قدم پر دوڑتے رہے.
وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
English Translation:
And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them;
اردو ترجمہ:
ان سے پہلے بھی بہت سے اگلے بہک چکے ہیں.
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ
English Translation:
And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers);
اردو ترجمہ:
جن میں ہم نے ڈرانے والے (رسول) بھیجے تھے.
فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُنذَرِينَ
English Translation:
Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not).
اردو ترجمہ:
اب تو دیکھ لے کہ جنہیں دھمکایا گیا تھا ان کا انجام کیسا کچھ ہوا.
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
English Translation:
Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism).
اردو ترجمہ:
سوائے اللہ کے برگزیده بندوں کے.
وَلَقَدْ نَادَانَا نُوحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ الْمُجِيبُونَ
English Translation:
And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ہمیں نوح (علیہ السلام) نے پکارا تو (دیکھ لو) ہم کیسے اچھے دعا قبول کرنے والے ہیں.
وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
English Translation:
And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning),
اردو ترجمہ:
ہم نے اسے اور اس کے گھر والوں کو اس زبردست مصیبت سے بچا لیا.
وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُ هُمُ الْبَاقِينَ
English Translation:
And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور اس کی اولاد کو ہم نے باقی رہنے والی بنا دی.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
English Translation:
And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times:
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ہم نے اس کا (ذکر خیر) پچھلوں میں باقی رکھا.
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍ فِي الْعَالَمِينَ
English Translation:
Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!"
اردو ترجمہ:
نوح (علیہ السلام) پر تمام جہانوں میں سلام ہو
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
English Translation:
Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112).
اردو ترجمہ:
ہم نیکی کرنے والوں کو اسی طرح بدلہ دیتے ہیں.
إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
English Translation:
Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves.
اردو ترجمہ:
وه ہمارے ایمان والے بندوں میں سے تھا.
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
English Translation:
Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.).
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر ہم نے دوسروں کو ڈبو دیا.
۞ وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِ لَإِبْرَاهِيمَ
English Translation:
And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور اس (نوح علیہ السلام کی) تابعداری کرنے والوں میں سے (ہی) ابراہیم (علیہ السلام بھی) تھے.
إِذْ جَاءَ رَبَّهُ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
English Translation:
When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism].
اردو ترجمہ:
جبکہ اپنے رب کے پاس بے عیب دل لائے.
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ
English Translation:
When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship?
اردو ترجمہ:
انہوں نے اپنے باپ اور اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ تم کیا پوج رہے ہو؟
أَئِفْكًا آلِهَةً دُونَ اللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ
English Translation:
"Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek?
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا تم اللہ کے سوا گھڑے ہوئے معبود چاہتے ہو؟
فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
English Translation:
"Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?"
اردو ترجمہ:
تو یہ (بتلاؤ کہ) تم نے رب العالمین کو کیا سمجھ رکھا ہے؟
فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةً فِي النُّجُومِ
English Translation:
Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them),
اردو ترجمہ:
اب ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) نے ایک نگاه ستاروں کی طرف اٹھائی.
فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيمٌ
English Translation:
And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)."
اردو ترجمہ:
اور کہا میں تو بیمار ہوں.
فَتَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ
English Translation:
So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease).
اردو ترجمہ:
اس پر وه سب اس سے منھ موڑے ہوئے واپس چلے گئے.
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ آلِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
English Translation:
Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)?
اردو ترجمہ:
آپ (چﭗ چپاتے) ان کے معبودوں کے پاس گئے اور فرمانے لگے تم کھاتے کیوں نہیں؟
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنطِقُونَ
English Translation:
"What is the matter with you that you speak not?"
اردو ترجمہ:
تمہیں کیا ہو گیا کہ بات تک نہیں کرتے ہو.
فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًا بِالْيَمِينِ
English Translation:
Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand.
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر تو (پوری قوت کے ساتھ) دائیں ہاتھ سے انہیں مارنے پر پل پڑے.
فَأَقْبَلُوا إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ
English Translation:
Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening.
اردو ترجمہ:
وه (بت پرست) دوڑے بھاگے آپ کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے.
قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ
English Translation:
He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve?
اردو ترجمہ:
تو آپ نے فرمایا تم انہیں پوجتے ہو جنہیں (خود) تم تراشتے ہو.
وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
English Translation:
"While Allah has created you and what you make!"
اردو ترجمہ:
حالانکہ تمہیں اور تمہاری بنائی ہوئی چیزوں کو اللہ ہی نے پیدا کیا ہے.
قَالُوا ابْنُوا لَهُ بُنْيَانًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِي الْجَحِيمِ
English Translation:
They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!"
اردو ترجمہ:
وه کہنے لگے اس کے لئے ایک مکان بناؤ اور اس (دہکتی ہوئی) آگ میں اسے ڈال دو.
فَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَسْفَلِينَ
English Translation:
So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest.
اردو ترجمہ:
انہوں نے تو اس (ابراہیم علیہ السلام) کے ساتھ مکر کرنا چاہا لیکن ہم نے انہی کو نیچا کر دیا.
وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ
English Translation:
And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!"
اردو ترجمہ:
اور اس (ابراہیم علیہ السلام) نے کہا میں تو ہجرت کر کے اپنے پروردگار کی طرف جانے والا ہوں ۔ وه ضرور میری رہنمائی کرے گا.
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
English Translation:
"My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous."
اردو ترجمہ:
اے میرے رب! مجھے نیک بخت اولاد عطا فرما.
فَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِغُلَامٍ حَلِيمٍ
English Translation:
So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy.
اردو ترجمہ:
تو ہم نے اسے ایک بردبار بچے کی بشارت دی.
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ قَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنِّي أَرَىٰ فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ فَانظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِي إِن شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ
English Translation:
And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)."
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر جب وه (بچہ) اتنی عمر کو پہنچا کہ اس کے ساتھ چلے پھرے ، تو اس (ابراہیم علیہ السلام) نے کہا میرے پیارے بچے! میں خواب میں اپنے آپ کو تجھے ذبح کرتے ہوئے دیکھ رہا ہوں۔ اب تو بتا کہ تیری کیا رائے ہے؟ بیٹے نے جواب دیا کہ ابا! جو حکم ہوا ہے اسے بجا لائیے انشاءاللہ آپ مجھے صبر کرنے والوں میں سے پائیں گے.
فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُ لِلْجَبِينِ
English Translation:
Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering);
اردو ترجمہ:
غرض جب دونوں مطیع ہوگئے اور اس نے (باپ نے) اس کو (بیٹے کو) پیشانی کے بل گرا دیا.
وَنَادَيْنَاهُ أَن يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ
English Translation:
And We called out to him: "O Abraham!
اردو ترجمہ:
تو ہم نے آواز دی کہ اے ابراہیم!
قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ الرُّؤْيَا ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
English Translation:
You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112).
اردو ترجمہ:
یقیناً تو نے اپنے خواب کو سچا کر دکھایا ، بیشک ہم نیکی کرنے والوں کو اسی طرح جزا دیتے ہیں.
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ الْبَلَاءُ الْمُبِينُ
English Translation:
Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial
اردو ترجمہ:
درحقیقت یہ کھلا امتحان تھا.
وَفَدَيْنَاهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍ
English Translation:
And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram);
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ہم نے ایک بڑا ذبیحہ اس کے فدیہ میں دے دیا.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
English Translation:
And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ہم نے ان کا ذکر خیر پچھلوں میں باقی رکھا.
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
English Translation:
Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!"

ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) پر سلام ہو.
كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
English Translation:

اور ہم نے اس کو اسحاق (علیہ السلام) نبی کی بشارت دی جو صالح لوگوں میں سے ہوگا.
وَبَارَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ إِسْحَاقَ ۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهِ مُبِينٌ
English Translation:
We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ہم نے ابراہیم واسحاق (علیہ السلام) پر برکتیں نازل فرمائیں ، اور ان دونوں کی اولاد میں بعضے تو نیک بخت ہیں اور بعض اپنے نفس پر صریح ظلم کرنے والے ہیں.
وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ
English Translation:
And, indeed We gave Our Grace to Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron).
اردو ترجمہ:
یقیناً ہم نے موسیٰ اور ہارون (علیہ السلام) پر بڑا احسان کیا.
وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
English Translation:
And We saved them and their people from the great distress;
اردو ترجمہ:
اور انہیں اور ان کی قوم کو بہت بڑے دکھ درد سے نجات دے دی.
وَنَصَرْنَاهُمْ فَكَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ
English Translation:
And helped them, so that they became the victors;
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ان کی مدد کی تو وہی غالب رہے.
وَآتَيْنَاهُمَا الْكِتَابَ الْمُسْتَبِينَ
English Translation:
And We gave them the clear Scripture;
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ہم نے انہیں (واضح اور) روشن کتاب دی.
وَهَدَيْنَاهُمَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
English Translation:
And guided them to the Right Path;
اردو ترجمہ:
اور انہیں سیدھے راستہ پرقائم رکھا.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِي الْآخِرِينَ
English Translation:
And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times;
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ہم نے ان دونوں کے لئے پیچھے آنے والوں میں یہ بات باقی رکھی.
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ
English Translation:
Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!"
اردو ترجمہ:
کہ موسیٰ اور ہارون (علیہما السلام) پر سلام ہو.
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
English Translation:
Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112).

بے شک ہم نیک لوگوں کو اسی طرح بدلے دیا کرتے ہیں.
إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
English Translation:
Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves.
اردو ترجمہ:
یقیناً یہ دونوں ہمارے مومن بندوں میں سے تھے.
وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
English Translation:
And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers.
اردو ترجمہ:
بے شک الیاس (علیہ السلام) بھی پیغمبروں میں سے تھے
إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
English Translation:
When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah?
اردو ترجمہ:
جب کہ انہوں نے اپنی قوم سے فرمایا کہ تم اللہ سے ڈرتے نہیں ہو؟
أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ الْخَالِقِينَ
English Translation:
"Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators,
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا تم بعل (نامی بت) کو پکارتے ہو؟ اور سب سے بہتر خالق کو چھوڑ دیتے ہو؟
اللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
English Translation:
"Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?"
اردو ترجمہ:
اللہ جو تمہارا اور تمہارے اگلے تمام باپ دادوں کا رب ہے.
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
English Translation:
But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment),
اردو ترجمہ:
لیکن قوم نے انہیں جھٹلایا، پس وه ضرور (عذاب میں) حاضر رکھے جائیں گے.
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
English Translation:
Except the chosen slaves of Allah.
اردو ترجمہ:
سوائے اللہ تعالی کے مخلص بندوں کے.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
English Translation:
And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times;
اردو ترجمہ:
ہم نے (الیاس علیہ السلام) کا ذکر خیر پچھلوں میں بھی باقی رکھا.
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ إِلْ يَاسِينَ
English Translation:
Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!"
اردو ترجمہ:
کہ الیاس پر سلام ہو.
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
English Translation:
Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112).
اردو ترجمہ:
ہم نیکی کرنے والوں کو اسی طرح بدلہ دیتے ہیں.(1)
إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
English Translation:
Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves.
اردو ترجمہ:
بیشک وه ہمارے ایمان دار بندوں میں سے تھے.
وَإِنَّ لُوطًا لَّمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
English Translation:
And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers.
اردو ترجمہ:
بیشک لوط (علیہ السلام بھی) پیغمبروں میں سے تھے.
إِذْ نَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ
English Translation:
When We saved him and his family, all,
اردو ترجمہ:
ہم نے انہیں اور ان کے گھر والوں کو سب کو نجات دی.
إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَابِرِينَ
English Translation:
Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind.
اردو ترجمہ:
بجز اس بڑھیا کے جو پیچھے ره جانے والوں میں سے ره گئی.
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
English Translation:
Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir].
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر ہم نے اوروں کو ہلاک کر دیا.
وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِم مُّصْبِحِينَ
English Translation:
Verily, you pass by them in the morning.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور تم تو صبح ہونے پر ان کی بستیوں کے پاس سے گزرتے ہو.
وَبِاللَّيْلِ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
English Translation:
And at night; will you not then reflect?
اردو ترجمہ:
اور رات کو بھی، کیا پھر بھی نہیں سمجھتے؟
وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
English Translation:
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور بلاشبہ یونس (علیہ السلام) نبیوں میں سے تھے.
إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ
English Translation:
When he ran to the laden ship,
اردو ترجمہ:
جب بھاگ کر پہنچے بھری کشتی پر.
فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُدْحَضِينَ
English Translation:
He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers,
اردو ترجمہ:
پھر قرعہ اندازی ہوئی تو یہ مغلوب ہوگئے.
فَالْتَقَمَهُ الْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
English Translation:
Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame.
اردو ترجمہ:
تو پھر انہیں مچھلی نے نگل لیا اور وه خود اپنے آپ کو ملامت کرنے لگ گئے.
فَلَوْلَا أَنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُسَبِّحِينَ
English Translation:
Had he not been of them who glorify Allah,
اردو ترجمہ:
پس اگر یہ پاکی بیان کرنے والوں میں سے نہ ہوتے.
لَلَبِثَ فِي بَطْنِهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
English Translation:
He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection.
اردو ترجمہ:
تو لوگوں کے اٹھائے جانے کے دن تک اس کے پیٹ میں ہی رہتے.
۞ فَنَبَذْنَاهُ بِالْعَرَاءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ
English Translation:
But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick,
اردو ترجمہ:
پس انہیں ہم نے چٹیل میدان میں ڈال دیا اور وه اس وقت بیمار تھے.
وَأَنبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِّن يَقْطِينٍ
English Translation:
And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ان پر سایہ کرنے والا ایک بیل دار درخت ہم نے اگا دیا.
وَأَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ مِائَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ
English Translation:
And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ہم نے انہیں ایک لاکھ بلکہ اور زیاده آدمیوں کی طرف بھیجا.
فَآمَنُوا فَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
English Translation:
And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while.
اردو ترجمہ:
پس وه ایمان لائے ، اور ہم نے انہیں ایک زمانہ تک عیش وعشرت دی.
فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ الْبَنُونَ
English Translation:
Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?"
اردو ترجمہ:
ان سے دریافت کیجئے! کہ کیا آپ کے رب کی تو بیٹیاں ہیں اور ان کے بیٹے ہیں؟
أَمْ خَلَقْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةَ إِنَاثًا وَهُمْ شَاهِدُونَ
English Translation:
Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses?
اردو ترجمہ:
یا یہ اس وقت موجود تھے جبکہ ہم نے فرشتوں کو مؤنﺚ پیدا کیا.
أَلَا إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ
English Translation:
Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say:
اردو ترجمہ:
آگاه رہو! کہ یہ لوگ صرف اپنی افترا پردازی سے کہہ رہے ہیں.
وَلَدَ اللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ
English Translation:
"Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars!
اردو ترجمہ:
کہ اللہ تعالی کی اولاد ہے۔ یقیناً یہ محض جھوٹے ہیں.
أَصْطَفَى الْبَنَاتِ عَلَى الْبَنِينَ
English Translation:
Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons?
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا اللہ تعالی نے اپنے لیے بیٹیوں کو بیٹوں پر ترجیح دی.
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ
English Translation:
What is the matter with you? How do you decide?
اردو ترجمہ:
تمہیں کیا ہو گیا ہے کیسے حکم لگاتے پھرتے ہو؟
أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
English Translation:
Will you not then remember?
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا تم اس قدر بھی نہیں سمجھتے؟
أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَانٌ مُّبِينٌ
English Translation:
Or is there for you a plain authority?
اردو ترجمہ:
یا تمہارے پاس اس کی کوئی صاف دلیل ہے.
فَأْتُوا بِكِتَابِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
English Translation:
Then bring your Book if you are truthful!
اردو ترجمہ:
تو جاؤ اگر سچے ہو تو اپنی ہی کتاب لے آؤ.
وَجَعَلُوا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ الْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
English Translation:
And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ان لوگوں نے تو اللہ کے اور جنات کے درمیان بھی قرابت داری ٹھہرائی ہے، اور حالانکہ خود جنات کو معلوم ہے کہ وه (اس عقیده کے لوگ عذاب کے سامنے) پیش کیے جائیں گے.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
English Translation:
Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him!
اردو ترجمہ:
جو کچھ یہ (اللہ کے بارے میں) بیان کر رہے ہیں اس سے اللہ تعالیٰ بالکل پاک ہے.
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
English Translation:
Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah).
اردو ترجمہ:
سوائے! اللہ کے مخلص بندوں کے.
فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ
English Translation:
So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols).
اردو ترجمہ:
یقین مانو کہ تم سب اور تمہارے معبودان (باطل).
مَا أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَاتِنِينَ
English Translation:
Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers],
اردو ترجمہ:
کسی ایک کو بھی بہکا نہیں سکتے.
إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ الْجَحِيمِ
English Translation:
Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell!
اردو ترجمہ:
بجز اس کے جو جہنمی ہی ہے.
وَمَا مِنَّا إِلَّا لَهُ مَقَامٌ مَّعْلُومٌ
English Translation:
There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position);
اردو ترجمہ:
(فرشتوں کا قول ہے کہ) ہم میں سے تو ہر ایک کی جگہ مقرر ہے.
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الصَّافُّونَ
English Translation:
Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers);
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ہم تو (بندگیٴ الٰہی میں) صف بستہ کھڑے ہیں.
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْمُسَبِّحُونَ
English Translation:
Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور اس کی تسبیح بیان کر رہے ہیں.
وَإِن كَانُوا لَيَقُولُونَ
English Translation:
And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say;
اردو ترجمہ:
کفار تو کہا کرتے تھے.
لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ
English Translation:
"If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah).
اردو ترجمہ:
کہ اگر ہمارے سامنے اگلے لوگوں کا ذکر ہوتا.
لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
English Translation:
"We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!"
اردو ترجمہ:
تو ہم بھی اللہ کے چیده بندے بن جاتے.
فَكَفَرُوا بِهِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
English Translation:
But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know!
اردو ترجمہ:
لیکن پھر اس قرآن کے ساتھ کفر کر گئے ، پس اب عنقریب جان لیں گے.
وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا الْمُرْسَلِينَ
English Translation:
And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers,
اردو ترجمہ:
اور البتہ ہمارا وعده پہلے ہی اپنے رسولوں کے لئے صادر ہو چکا ہے.
إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ الْمَنصُورُونَ
English Translation:
That they verily would be made triumphant.
اردو ترجمہ:
کہ یقیناً وه ہی مدد کیے جائیں گے.
وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ
English Translation:
And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors.
اردو ترجمہ:
اور ہمارا ہی لشکر غالب (اور برتر) رہے گا.
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
English Translation:
So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while,
اردو ترجمہ:
اب آپ کچھ دنوں تک ان سے منھ پھیر لیجئے.
وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
English Translation:
And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)!
اردو ترجمہ:
اور انہیں دیکھتے رہیئے ، اور یہ بھی آگے چل کر دیکھ لیں گے.
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
English Translation:
Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment?
اردو ترجمہ:
کیا یہ ہمارے عذاب کی جلدی مچا رہے ہیں؟
فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنذَرِينَ
English Translation:
Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned!
اردو ترجمہ:
سنو! جب ہمارا عذاب ان کے میدان میں اتر آئے گا اس وقت ان کی جن کو متنبہ کر دیا گیا تھا بڑی بری صبح ہوگی.
وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
English Translation:
So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while,
اردو ترجمہ:
آپ کچھ وقت تک ان کا خیال چھوڑ دیجئے.
وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
English Translation:
And watch and they shall see (the torment)!
اردو ترجمہ:
اور دیکھتے رہئیے یہ بھی ابھی ابھی دیکھ لیں گے.
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
English Translation:
Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him!
اردو ترجمہ:
پاک ہے آپ کا رب جو بہت بڑی عزت والا ہے ہر اس چیز سے (جو مشرک) بیان کرتے ہیں.
وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ
English Translation:
And peace be on the Messengers!
اردو ترجمہ:
پیغمبروں پر سلام ہے.
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
English Translation:
And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).
اردو ترجمہ:
اور سب طرح کی تعریف اللہ کے لئے ہے جو سارے جہان کا رب ہے.
