Al-A'raaf (Surah 7) - Ayah 142
۞ وَوَاعَدْنَا مُوسَىٰ ثَلَاثِينَ لَيْلَةً وَأَتْمَمْنَاهَا بِعَشْرٍ فَتَمَّ مِيقَاتُ رَبِّهِ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ۚ وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَخِيهِ هَارُونَ اخْلُفْنِي فِي قَوْمِي وَأَصْلِحْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
English Translation
And We appointed for Musa (Moses) thirty nights and added (to the period) ten (more), and he completed the term, appointed by his Lord, of forty nights. And Musa (Moses) said to his brother Harun (Aaron): "Replace me among my people, act in the Right Way (by ordering the people to obey Allah and to worship Him Alone) and follow not the way of the Mufsidun (mischief-makers)."
Urdu Translation
اور ہم نے موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) سے تیس راتوں کا وعده کیا اور دس رات مزید سے ان تیس راتوں کو پورا کیا۔ سو ان کے پروردگار کا وقت پورے چالیس رات کا ہوگیا ۔ اور موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) نے اپنے بھائی ہارون (علیہ السلام) سے کہا کہ میرے بعد ان کا انتظام رکھنا اور اصلاح کرتے رہنا اور بدنظم لوگوں کی رائے پر عمل مت کرنا۔
