Al-Hadid - Ayah No.20
اعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ وَزِينَةٌ وَتَفَاخُرٌ بَيْنَكُمْ وَتَكَاثُرٌ فِي الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَوْلَادِ ۖ كَمَثَلِ غَيْثٍ أَعْجَبَ الْكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَاهُ مُصْفَرًّا ثُمَّ يَكُونُ حُطَامًا ۖ وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانٌ ۚ وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ
English Translation
Know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you, and rivalry in respect of wealth and children, as the likeness of vegetation after rain, thereof the growth is pleasing to the tiller; afterwards it dries up and you see it turning yellow; then it becomes straw. But in the Hereafter (there is) a severe torment (for the disbelievers, evil-doers), and (there is) Forgiveness from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure (for the believers, good-doers), whereas the life of this world is only a deceiving enjoyment.
اردو ترجمہ
خوب جان رکھو کہ دنیا کی زندگی صرف کھیل تماشا زینت اور آپس میں فخر (و غرور) اور مال واولاد میں ایک کا دوسرے سے اپنے آپ کو زیاده بتلانا ہے، جیسے بارش اور اس کی پیداوار کسانوں کو اچھی معلوم ہوتی ہے پھر جب وه خشک ہو جاتی ہے تو زرد رنگ میں اس کو تم دیکھتے ہو پھر وه بالکل چورا چورا ہو جاتی ہے اور آخرت میں سخت عذاب اور اللہ کی مغفرت اور رضامندی ہے اور دنیا کی زندگی بجز دھوکے کے سامان کے اور کچھ بھی تو نہیں.
