Hud - هود (Surah 11) - Ayah 62
Hud - Ayah No.62
قَالُوا يَا صَالِحُ قَدْ كُنتَ فِينَا مَرْجُوًّا قَبْلَ هَـٰذَا ۖ أَتَنْهَانَا أَن نَّعْبُدَ مَا يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍ
English Translation
They said: "O Salih (Saleh)! You have been among us as a figure of good hope (and we wished for you to be our chief), till this [new thing which you have brought; that we leave our gods and worship your God (Allah) Alone]! Do you (now) forbid us the worship of what our fathers have worshipped? But we are really in grave doubt as to that which you invite us to (monotheism)."
اردو ترجمہ
انہوں نے کہا اے صالح! اس سے پہلے تو ہم تجھ سے بہت کچھ امیدیں لگائے ہوئے تھے، کیا تو ہمیں ان کی عبادتوں سے روک رہا ہے جن کی عبادت ہمارے باپ دادا کرتے چلے آئے، ہمیں تو اس دین میں حیران کن شک ہے جس کی طرف تو ہمیں بلا رہا ہے.
